Dress of the Day 121 Halloween, White ghost catcher bag, Orange and black skirt outfit, black witch's hat, small trident
CLOTHES
Skirt.
Top.
Sandals. Josef Seibel.
ACCESSORIES
Tote bag.
Witch's Hat, for child 3-4 years. I am older than that, but it was the only size they had, so I bought it. I planned to insert an a shape black extender at the back but never got around to it.
Adapting the Small Hat
However, the hat, being small at the crown, was not secure. I pulled it down but it was shiny and kept springing up my hair. Then it kept falling off.
So I found a long ribbon and considered cutting it and added two ribbons. One on either side under the brim.
I should have cut the ribbon to the right length, possible longer on one side to make the bow. Then sewn it on.
I had a long ribbon and no time to cut it in two and sew on two pieces before my meeting. So I grabbed a pair of scissors, cut two tiny slits in the fabric of the brim either side of the central upright part of the hat.
I threaded the ribbon through, up the left side, around the front of the brim and down the right side. You can tie the hat under the chin.
I think I deserve a treat. All I need now is the recipe for Aldi cheesecake.

Tampines Changkat Advanced club meeting. Theme Halloween. I was topics master with a series of questions on illustrated slides. Excellent replies included President Desmond telling us about NLP (neuro linguistic programming, a kind of scientific positive thinking) and conquering fear with habit, being used to unfamiliar creatures or events which we used to fear. Notice numerous other well-known people, such as: Toastmaster of the Day, Saddiq; Thomas Chen; John Sih, language expert who gave us a grammarian report; Chia, a speech evaluator who has been chief judge at many speech contests; Koh Li Siang, a past president; and others.
The club is very popular, with members including Ng Kin Fong, the triple winner of the most recent national speakers' contests. For more details of this club and others of which I am a member, look at the club's website or Facebook page or Toastmasters International Find a Club.
I am Vice President Public Relations for Braddell Heights Advanced, in Singapore, currently online in 2019, as well as so I am obliged and delighted to give BHA a boost. We meet every third Saturday afternoon, 2 pm Singapore time, and the first Wednesday evening each month. Visitors welcome. It's on learncool.sg
I am also a member of another club where I am Toastmaster of the Day for the Halloween theme meeting of Singapore International Online Dynamic, Friday October 30th, 9 to 12 Singapore time, which is 12-3 UK time. You are likely to see another photo of me in Halloween gear.
In the UK I am a member of Harrovians Toastmasters Club, in Harrow, and a frequent visitor to HOD, which I was a member of until I was spending a lot of time in Singapore and a lot of money on club memberships.
Do join me and fellow members at one or more of these clubs. We often end a meeting with a photo, a serious photo, then a fun photo with props.
