Dress Of The Day with Angela

 I love the red. I love my purchase. I admit it doesn't really give me a lot of uplift. When It arrived, I thought, this is a larger size girth, but not a bigger cup. So my breasts push together and create a cleavage. However, it feels very comfortable.  It fulfils three functions. Firstly, no painful straps on my shoulders.  Secondly, no bra straps showing outside the vest and top. Nor slipping off.  Thirdly, time saving. No deciding which colour bra goes with which vest. Only one garment, not two. It comes down to the top of my legs. Could hide my floppy tunny from pregnancy years ago and being overweight. If it stayed down and did not ride up.  How to secure it? I tried wearing it under a half slip, over a half slip, and under high knickers. The same seller has black white and various colours. Another seller offered wine colour. I found only one garment with this label and it was on a Polish website, with no bids and no longer available.  So, where it came from, nobody knows. Let's look at the features and see what we can learn, and like and copy. Square holes around the neck. The holes around the neck are neat with the uprights which each have three small decorative diamonte adornments. I was going to say beads but they are not sewn on. Maybe stuck on. I wear the red colour for liveliness. but then what can go with it? A red or black skirt? I need a change from red. Hanging next to the red top on another hanger was a black and white dress.  Not an obvious choice, Plain black would have been better. But I was in a hurry and sometimes, serendity, happy chance discovery, has a great result. A surprise. A novelty. At very least,...

At a family party I made a new friend whose outfit I admired She wore a red lace top with a wide sleeve. She could not remember where she bought it. However, I thought the slit sleeve was an interesting idea. It gives your forearm more freedom of movement. But, most importantly, it also looks most attractive. If you slit the sleeve on a garment which you have bought, your item becomes different from everybody else's.  I loved my new friend's top. In summer she wears it without black sleeves underneath  She is wearing the black garment underneath for warmth. The Red Top The sleeveless linen pull-over top has large triple metal elephant decoration on the lower front. Red Skirt The matching red skirt has slit sides. The drawstring tightening the waist is cut from the same fabric. The outfit was bought in Singapore. I have looked everywhere for the elephants to sew on other garments but could not find them. Maybe I shall see more similar when I visit Thailand. The Under Vest The label reads Collezioni Italy XL  The red short sleeve top has a silky shiny look. Red Flower Hair Clip The red flower hair clip completes the co-ordinated look. You can buy one large fabric flower hair clip in your favourite colour. The Camera and Pose I stood the mobile phone camera on a kitchen work surface, supported by a cutlery rack. I set it to ten seconds of delay. I stood back and moved backwards and forwards and side to side to get correctly positioned. I chose to feature just my top half. The Red Top The red top has the label on the inside centre neck revealing the brand label atmosphere and the size 10/38. Size ten is English and size 38 is European. According to the washing label, the fabric is 62% viscose and 38% cotton. Here more detail is given on the sizing. UK/IRL (Ireland) size 10. Size 38 ES/PT (Es for Espana, Spain, and Pt for Portugal. 36 for D/NL, Dutschland (Germany) and NL (Netherlands).  It is a gappy design. Two false pockets are on the front of the jacket. The Anthony Sicari top Made in the USA.   Red Sandals Red sandals by Freestep, size 4. The ankle strap and the front are hook and loop adjustable fastening. Adjustable sandals are ideal if your feet change size, or you want to wear with and without socks on different occasions.

The black jeans or trousers (UK England for what the Americans call pants) co-ordinate with the edging of the collar and the hat-band, which matches the dark hair. Red knitted cap from Damart. But I could not resist this riotous red. Besides, articles from the USA to UK cost more in postage than the garment, but this was on ebay.co.uk so it was posted to my UK address at a lower rate.  I did not have a three piece matching outfit, so I had to add my own red items. Red Sandals The red sandals are Free-Step size 5. I wear them when travelling. If you have to removed shoes at security in an airport they save time. Also convenient if you need to remove shoes for a mosque or Asian temple or home.   Angela Lansbury in lime green tp with black belt to match the black skirt. The purpose of this photo was to show off my new white collar, a detachable collar or dickey. I had a lime green t-shirt. I wore the green-t-shirt over the black underskirt (a long Marks and Spencer slip with lace godet or triangular inset at hem level). The lime green and black were not a real match.
