Angela On stage with puppets - and how to make pop up puppets
To make a simple pop-up puppet, cut a paper plate to remove a slice and glue or staple it together to make a cone with a hole at the tip. Insert a rod, wooden skewer or lollipop stick with a sock puppet on top. To make a sock puppet, just draw or embroider two eyes and a mouth, or buy face parts for DIY teddy bears, rag dolls and toys from a craft shop. You can use an odd sock or an odd glove to make a puppet. You could also sew an old baseball cap onto a sock and add a pair of cheap or broken en sunglasses.
