Why Wash New Underwear? I was following a few forums on Facebook and elsewhere on whether you should wash underwear or all clothes. Some people say you don't know who might have checked the garment at the factory, packed it, re-packed it, posted it. Whether it lay around and got dusty, dust mites, insects, bacteria, viruses.  Whether an item was tried on in the shop, then put back in the package. Or posted out, tried on, wrong size, returned still with the tag attached, but touched, and against somebody's skin. Washing Donated Clothes  When I lived in Northwood in North west London I used to shop in the Cancer Research shop. I queried the cleanliness of donated clothes. An assistant told me that everything was washed in their washing machine at the back of the shop.  I think every charity shop should have a washing machine, and mark which clothes have been washed if some are washed and others not.  After meeting Megan who was wearing a wonderful, colourful Oliver Bonas skirt, I noticed the Oliver Bonas shop in Paddington Station. A few days later I was passing through Euston station and had time to browse in that branch of the clothes shop. The clothes for day evening and outdoor jackets were colourful, distinctive, attention-getting and original. In addition to dresses, tops and jackets  I saw handy hats. Naturally you want to buy a set, in matching colours, of scarf, gloves and hat. Another rack had small items, easy to back, with potential as gifts. A light up necklace. A cat lovers pizza cutter.  I was impressed by this striking colourful dress with the matching hat. It is African style, made with cloth from Nigeria. The girl wearing it told me her aunt had sewn it for her using Nigerian cloth, brought back from Nigeria.  The hat is a piece of cloth, or scarf, would around and tied. If you like colourful Nigerian or African style dresses and colourful hats, you can find several websites selling them online. Storing Old Clothes in the Old Days  In the good old days people used to store their winter clothes in a suitcase in the loft or attic in winter. The reverse took place in summer.  Storing Items In Garages Nowadays we recycle and collect clutter. Only a quarter of UK garages are used to store cars. Now cars are left in the front forecourt, and garages are used for storage, clothes, accessories, bric a brac. You need to keep moving clothes. Why? To be sure that moths get disturbed. Sometimes you need to be sitting down. As in this restaurant photo showing me dining in at B & K salt beefr bar and deli in London. I am eating lokshen (noodle) pudding. When You Must Sit Many speakers need to stay seated.  Practical and Social Reasons They may be eating dinner. Holding a baby. Cuddling a kitten. Reading their notes. Reaching for props on a desk. Medical reasons  Have ankle, knee or back problems. Solutions include: Tell everybody in the audience your problem. The  pale blue is the background, with darker blue. Other colours are red, yellow, and lavender.  The Cut Hardly visible is the pocket on the  left breast (on the right of the picture). The night dress is ankle length. The sleeves are short.  The Pattern The first thing you notice is the hanukiah or nine branch candlestick. Eight branches for the eight days of Hanukah; the ninth candle in the middle is for lighting the others.   The dreidls, or four-sided spinning tops, have four Hebrew letters.
