They get constant compliments. The inside sole of one of my boots wore down. I covered it with a loose inner sole cut to fit. I looked online. My inner sole seemed a success. But I still needed to check the availability of a replacement pair of boots. Since the red pair was still wearable, why not buy another colour? In previous years I had rejected the yellow version, because it would match fewer outfits and probably get dirty and shabby quicker, with less chance of an inconspicuous repair. The black ones could easily be restored using paint-on black leather touch up. I put the yellow ones I found at two different prices into the out tray or cart on a couple of websites on my laptop.
