Light and airy dress for summer. The wearer is Kirsty who owns Alara Boutique,  in  La Palma island in the Canary Islands in the Atlantic. The dress costs about €60 in her shop. She has a Facebook page. Look for Alara Boutique. Kirsty was originally from Norway. She speaks Spanish and English.

Sales Oo LaLa! Dresses at under 1 dollar, plus 17 dollars postage from Lala clothing. Ooh la la Post 382b

Having seen me hunt for sales, this American discount's advertisement for their website found me on Facebook. I took a look. Advantages All the same price. All affordable. Disadvantages The clothes were all synthetic fabrics, no chance to ask for cotton, or a pattern such as eyelet. They wanted me to pay with google pay, which I don't have, instead of paypal. They are in the USA. The postage to Singapore was about 17 dollars. That brought an order of six dresses to about twenty pounds sterling. I reckoned I might like three of the six dresses. I looked for reviews. They have a Facebook page but only two reviews. At the opposite end of the scale are expensive clothes from lala Berlin. You used to be able to bid on large numbers of items starting at a penny under a pound on ebay. I now sort by price low to high. Few, or fewer, items are in the lowest price range. By specifying low to high prices you are likely to start being offered clothes for babies and pets and pictures of clo...

Angela Posing With Speech Contest Trophies

Image
The saying goes, if you've got it, flaunt it. See later post on using trophies as props. We took these out of the glass fronted cabinet because light was reflecting on the glass. These large trophies belong to Braddell Heights Advanced Club. They were donated to the club by winners who have no room for the trophies at home or would rather have them displayed in a public place. Angela's trophies displayed at home in Singapore 2022. Photo by Angela Lansbury. Copyright. I have other trophies in the UK. I gathered the trophies together at the request of club President Sdddiq who wanted records of the latest trophies to put on the club website on Facebook.

How to create an avatar (cartoon) of yourself on Reddit

Image
Angela Lansbury I made this in Reddit. I saved it and pasted it into Facebook.  A friend asked me: How do you create the cartoon? I replied: You go into Reddit. They offer you an optional avatar (cartoon) as an alternative to a profile photo. You select one from each set of choices.  The choices include Eye colour.  Hair colour.  Hat.  Object in hand.  I chose blue eyes, blonde hair, red clothes, a book in my hand. Reddit is a site where you can share news items or pictures. Other people comment and vote.  The system for creating the avatar is simple and free. Not a free trial. Free. I then went looking for a better avatar, because I wanted longer blonde hair and a fringe, and even to animate it. That will be my next venture. If and when I succeed, I shall write another post. I found readyplayer which says it creates a moving picture for developers to use for an app or game.   Useful Websites reddit.com https://www.merriam-webster.com/dicti...

Dresses 36-40: Dress 36 DIY dress from scarf with fish. 37 DIY Dress reversed with black fish. 38 Caftan (pink/purple flowers) + rainbow umbrella.39

I could not find four of my dress photos on Facebook. So I left a blank post with the title numbers 36-40. I was planning to come back later. Meanwhile it appeared that I was naked for five days. Or I wore my night dress all week! No. I found the missing dresses by doing a search in Facebook. The moral is, the lesson I learned was, If one task or search does not succeed, move onto the next task to accomplish something every hour. I had no results searching for 36. Then I found dress 37. Dress of the day 37 reversed back to front showing black fish. Not only had I found dress 37, I knew what dress 36 was. In fact you can tell by the dates on Facebook. Find the dress of a day nearby and click on arrows forward or backwards to find the right date. Dress 36 At first I spent ages naming the photo so it was easy to find, from those on the desktop, in a folder labelled desktop, alphabetically. Later I re-ordered the photos in date order. Reverse order to put today's date at top instead o...
