Angela wearing royal blue Shein dress with split sleeves. The black tee shirt says I am a published author.Ask me about my book. I wore it to the Writers' Summer School at the Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire in August 2024. I was wearing it in the queue for coffee. The lady next to me asked me about my books. I asked her what she wrote or hoped to write. Poetry. So I told her the titles of my books of poetry and on how to write poetry. I suggested she follow me to the book room, have a free look at my books. If she took a fancy to one of them and bought it I would sign it for her. She bought two books.

Black Toastmasters Tee-shirt, with a red zip, dress 536

Angela wearing Toastmasters t-shirt, gift to all who attended the celebration meeting at Eminent Toastmasters International club at Dell. The t-shirt The t shirt has a red zip at the front. You can open the zip to reveal more red. I like the red. It relieves the monotony and darkness of the black. It matched my red lipstick. (And my red sandals if I choose to wear them.) Tee-shirt with the zip open. However, an open neck looks very casual. The writing is reversed right to left. This can be changed by loading the photo into an editing program, such as Photopad.   I knew that I was going to receive the tee-shirt because an email arrived asking me my size. I opted for medium. I asked if there was a choice of colour of tee shirt.  No. They were all the same. The correspondent sent me a picture of the fron...

Angela Lansbury wearing a Toastmasters International tee-shirt in black, with a DIY black skirt and Indian Mirror black shoes. Photo by Trevor Sharot. I had a friend who always wore black, She found it easier to co-ordinate. I thought it was depressing. On the other hand, I travelled on short trips with a black skirt, but not with a black top. I added a black skirt to this tee-shirt and feel that I would not wear it regularly. I need colour near my face. Especially on Zoom. When I travelled as a busy travel writer, the black skirt was good, for not showing stains and in any case was being hidden under the table at dinner. I matched it with various tops. The black skirt and black shoes went with everything.  If you wear black, it could go well with black hair, or make you look monotonous. If you have white teeth and eyes, and they are your good features, you can brighten up a black tee-shirt with a white colour. On zoom you want neck interest. Fancy shoes don't get much attention un...
