Cute and colourful, orange to match the central stripe on the placket. Four holes. To replace or re-sew the button you would need a small needle and thin thread. Very tiny buttons. Knitted cuffs and waistband. I bought it in St Luke's in Hatch End, NW London. Their shops supporting their local hospice are in Pinner, Harrow St Anns Shopping Mall, Hatch End, Another group of hospice shops is in the Sheffield area of England, and they sell clothing and furniture. So, if you want to put together a colourful and co-ordinated outfit, find a bargain, affordable clothes, or to support charity, you have several choices. Going abroad?   Photo by Angela Lansbury This striking red outfit attracted my attention from a distance. The lady wears only two colours, red and black. Red Red dress from Primark is the anchor. She says, ' I love Primark. I buy a lot from there.' Red gloves, without fingertips, from Covent Garden.  Red beret. Red hoop ear-rings. Red lipstick. I checked on line for Covent Garden - which brings up shops in Covent Garden, Covent Garden clothes, which brings up clothes shops in Covent Garden, Covent Garden label, which brings up label making companies in Covent Garden, and in Ebay Covent Garden, with clothes selected as a category. On Ebay I found a few items of coats, and tee shirts and shirts, labelled London Covent Garden, one or two described as vintage, if used accurately meaning more than twenty years old. I then tried companies house to see if the company was still in business but could only find Covent Garden London for a real estate company. Black Strong colour contrast. Black jacket...

This pull on warm winter fleece has a handy kangaroo pocket to keep your hands warm. Kangaroo Pocket For Warmth I love the kangaroo pockets. So snug for your hands to hide and keep warm. Hoods Are Handy The second great feature is the hood. This garment, a cross between a hoodie and snuggle, is called a snuddie. Knitted Cuffs Advantages Knitted cuffs have two main advantages. Firstly, they keep you warm. Secondly, they stop sleeves from dragging in water when you are washing your hands, your clothes, or washing up dishes after meals. They look neat and do not flap about. Snuddies and Blanket-Like Clothes The snuddie is unlike earlier versions of hooded blankets. One version had a lining which made it warmer and thicker, maybe more expensive.   Primark 2XL teeshirt. Made in Turkey. Primark offers budget clothes in a big store. Found all over London, such as Harrow. They print those words on the inside neck of the tee-shirt. That way there's no label to cut off. No sharp edges to a scratchy horrid heat-sealed label. This way is much better. Primark Primark is in 17 countries. In the USA and Europe. In the USA in Chicago and Florida. Many stores in England including the five storey store in Birmingham. More in Prague, Poland, the Netherlands, all over. Kah Tequila Kah tequila hat. The black hat goes with lots of outfits. No clashing colours. The white embroidered brand name is shiny and classy. The brand name of the hat maker is Atlantis.   My black background tunic, or long tee shirt, from Primark is size 2. The neck label also says Made in Bangladesh.  The pattern on the front says Botanical index. When you look carefully, under each flower is a number, not a name. Flower # 1 to Flower #10. The flower colours are red, orange, yellow. blue, with green stalks. Primark Times & Places I checked Primark opening times. Their store in Harrow was open until 7 pm on Monday June 16th 2025. Harrow is a huge interchange with buses at the bus station opposite the shopping mall going all over London and to Heathrow, and the railway station connecting to central London.  I popped into Primark in Harrow for a look.  Pickpockets The Santander branch had a recording warning about pick  pockets, so in Primark I kept avoiding other people and moving, and watching if anybody was approaching when I stopped to read a label. I was looking for cheap items. the cheapest were those marked down from higher prices, about 12 for dresses and separates. Bargains Sale Items  Angela Lansbury in cubicle trying on bargain top which she later bougtht.  I sometimes photograph mysel in the cubicle wearing the outfit. I can see if it suits me. Send the photo to family and ask them. Ggo back for it later if I decided I want it - and show an assistant the item I am looking for. Or hunt for the same item new or second hand online if I am out of luck at that store. it would be helpful to photograph the label too, if I want to phone and ask if other stores have it in another size.. The Orange blouse Brand Primark Cares. Symbol one heart. Made in Vietnam. Italy 40 Size M (for medium). Worn underneath. Provides a silky feel next to the skin. Easy and light to wash out overnight and likely to dry quicker. Cuffs A ribbon tightens the gthered cuff, so it won't drag in the water when I am washing up dishes. Nor when filling a glass of water at the kitchen tap, or washing my hands before and after going to the toilet. It is loose. But how do you put it on over your neck? No buttons. V neck  NO FASTENING AT NECK The V neck does not fasten and might slip sideways. I don't always stand straight horizontally because I broke my right collar bone years ago in a car accident.  I've noticed a lot of people seem to stand slightly up one side and down the other. It might be because of an old injurty on that side, or just sluping, poor posture.   Anyway, the result is that I need to keep collars fastened. Plain simple dresses. Clear colours. Bright colours. Years ago, my mother would not have allowed me to buy a dress which was gathered, or anything with rick-rack braid. She would have said, no dtyling, no cut. Tht is what you put on bsbies. For adults women you need cut to make a fitted dress which enhances the curved or th breadst, wais,t hips and bottom. The Orange Dress Oh, well. I saw the orange dress in Lidl. I loved the colour. I had to have it. The size is ten. Slightly small for me. If you wear a long0sleeves thermal vest under it, the arms feel too tight. Esmara The label is Esmara. This is the Lidl brand. Primark sells affordable clothing.  The black sequin hat was elasticated. The elastic had gone. I pinned it in two places at the front. I pinned on the opposite side to the label which was sewn into a seam. Then I sewed a tuck, using black cotton. A quick job. I didn't want it too tight. That would be uncomfortable. Distracting. Might give me a headache. Or make me take it off. Was it tight enough? A good test is to lean forward and see whether the hat falls off your head.  What to wear it with? Rainbow Gloves  My latest rainbow item. is the rainbow gloves. From Northwick Park Hospital children's gloves section. I bought four pairs. Rainbow knitted long sleeved top The rainbow stripe knitted long sleeved top was bought second hand from St Luke's in Hatch End. The label shows it originally from Primark. The Primark in Harrow is my favourite branch. Next to the station, well, opposite.  The Rianbow Scarf The rainbow scarf  was sitting lost in a cupboard. It suited the red hat. I sewed it onto the red hat. The Red Hat The red hat was bought from North Harrow Library. Knitters and donors make items to sell to help support the library which is sstaffed by volunteers. Long Warm Rainbow Socks The socks from China had sat negleted for years because they seeed too tight. I thro then into a suitcase to go to the south of France in winter. The weather was so cold that I wore the with the tops turned down to make a secodn layer.

I bought it second hand from St Luke's. it was a bargain, in the one pound box for items which have not sold fast, or the occasional loss leader. (A loss leader is an item sold at a loss in order to attract customers, either to come in and buy that, and preferably return on a regular basis loiking for bargains. Primark sels clothes in the UK and elsewhere at affordable prices. to buy an item in the bargain bin in St Luke's is a double bargain. The Cape Jacket\The green cape jacket is from Shein. I bought it in a sale. I bought several cape jackets, mostly long, this one is short. I went into St Luke's looking for a condolence card. I found one. It cost 50p. a condolence card from Tesco would have cost me one pound fifty. I spent the same because I bought three cards, the other tow to go in my card stock box.  My other purchase from St Luke'...

The Skirt The skirt is silk. It is soft. One of my favourites. From Patra, the UK firm which specilises in silk. The skirt is thin with a think black lining.  The Vivid Orange-Red Tee-Shirt The tee-shirt is an orange-red tie dye pattern. Soft and stretchy. From Primark. Size large. Primark is always such good value. UK size 14/16, The Orange Sandals The orange sandals with hook and close on the ankle strap and across the toe always fit. They don't protect you much when it is raining. I love the flower effect on the toe bar. Fancy. Smart. The decoration upgrades the sandals. Cushion-Walk. Leather Lined. Size 4. The Blouse You may have seen this before in previous posts. It dries out fast, 1-2 days. I lost a button. An inconvenience. But found I had a spare button on the lower left label. Then I...

Sequins seems suitable for New Year's Eve.  The Top The top is labelled atmosphere, which is a Primark brand. Size 16/44. The sequins are on the front. I found a similar vest tank top on Amazon in blue for only about ten Singapore dollars eighty six plus delivery. I saved it to Pinterest. The Jacket The jacket style is very smart. A wide stand up collar. Wide cuffs. The fabric has a gold thread.  On both sides of the collar and on each of the two cuffs are three five petal roses, with spirals of stand up satin ribbon surrounded by sequins. Six Chinese knot closures, each fastened by a loop of ribbon, are down the front. A placket ensures no gap. Both cuffs are fastened with similar Chinese knots.   The Jacket label is ROSEs. XXL.  I used to wonder why a company would choose a different brand name. Surely, if you buy from Marks & Spencer, or Sainsbury's, or Primark, that label tells you enough. Then I found out why they change brand names.  Some of these companies sell worldwide, although you might find more stores in their home country.  Update July 24 2023 Not only to they have different names for clothes for men, women, and children, sometimes for teens, for classic and modern, for businesslike and for sexy/disco wear, for luxury three piece lined clothes with double stitching and spare buttons for mother of the brides which are dry clean only, and for skimpy, light crop tops you can wash in a machine or wash by hand.
