Now in 2026 I can find British Home Stores back online but selling only homeware and no clothes.. The Salmon Pink Top Pink or orange? Lovely neckline. You can buy similar tops from Amazon, Ebay, Patra and Temu. Temu had lots of colours and styles in August 2026. The cost was mostly under ten pounds with a couple of items slightly above that price.   Long Multi-coloured Spaghetti strap dress Why am I wearing it? Because I love the colours. Jolly. Happy. Warm orange with clean white. Lively red. Handy multi-colour. Orange. Red, Dark Salmon pink. Either bought directly from them in their early days when they sold only silk and had seasonal sales for callers at their premises. More likely later second hand from Ebay. I now have their vests which are the same colour and look identical and feel soft but are bamboo. Tie A Too Long Dress This dress was too long, likely to trip me up. I now have several Indigo Moon items. That does not stop me from looking for more. I am an addict. I want complete outfits.  I found lots of Indigo Moon clothes on Depop. A few on frockery. I got sidetracked by ads from Temu which does not have any Indigo Moon. I still find Ebay is my favourite for large numbers of Indigo Moon clothes listed together in one place.  Etsy also has some from various sellers. I am not the only person. I wanted another dress like the matching dress and jacket which I wore on holiday last year, 2025. I had ended up wearing it three nights in a row. It was so easy to just have a matching set, it looked neat and elegant. Dress from Shein / on Ebay. Worn in summer 2025. V neck dress. I needed another. The readership of my blog varies, from zero for a post in the first five seconds after I have written it, to more than 500 by the end of the day. My travel blog got more yesterday, 8,725 in one day for a post on the Canary islands. I can click on the statistics to see which days I got more readers and for what subjects.  But my question is, who is reading my blog? It is in English, although anybody can use Google translate. But why would they?  When I first started writing, I expected to get only readers in London, England, who shopped in my local shops, and travelled to similar places. Then I found that |American readers outnumbered the British readers. I was surprised. My husband, who is a statistician, said the obvious answer was that there are more English speaking readers in the USA.  Today, in March 2026, I tried asking AI why I got more readers for my blog on clothes which mentioned clothes from Temu.   Temu Ladies Clothes Sets I spent hours looking at different sets, styles, colours. For my summer holiday, holidays, this year, next year, forever. What I was originally looking for was this, a long dress with a long matching coat, to make me look co-ordinated, elegant. And taller. Jacket Length Thickness and Weight I knew from previous experience that short jackets would be matching fabric to the dress. The long jackets, however were not even as thick as duster coats, but an ultra-thin, almost see-through fabric. Never mind. The sleeves are too long. That leaves me with several options. The simplest and quickest is to turn them back into a cuff. I like the jacket left open. It shows the lively pattern of the dress. The Red Jacket The jacket has no fastening, no buttons, what is called edge to edge. If you stand badly or have a broken collar bone or other bone, the jacket hangs lopsidedly.  I did it up at the neck. I looked for a brooch. I had second thoughts. I did not want to risk making a hole in the jacket fabric, especially in an obvious place like top centre under the neck. I saw an elastic hairband. I pulled the two top corners of the jacket through the band - not tight enough. So I  twisted the elastic band into a figure of eight, folded it into a double circle, and pulled the corners through a second time. That worked.   I bought this on Ebay. I wanted a strong colour. Red. I already have a pale blue one which you see me wearing in a previous post.  Jacket Styles, cut and darts The blue jacket had bust darts. This red one has no darts. One Pocket The red one has a pocket. It is positioned too near the sleeve and half disappears under my arm.  Real and Fake Pockets I felt in the pocket to see if it was a real pocket, although I don't use a single pocket because it makes me look lopsided. However, it is psychologically positive to have a real pocket, not a fake. The pocket was real. However, the vertical seam under the arm had come apart. Very hard to fix. The lining is attached all the way around the hem, so you can't repair the pocket from underneath. Well, it was second hand. Probably the seller didn't even know. They get constant compliments. The inside sole of one of my boots wore down. I covered it with a loose inner sole cut to fit. I looked online. My inner sole seemed a success. But I still needed to check the availability of a replacement pair of boots. Since the red pair was still wearable, why not buy another colour? In previous years I had rejected the yellow version, because it would match fewer outfits and probably get dirty and shabby quicker, with less chance of an inconspicuous repair.   I searched online for leopard skin print and found a shirt from Temu. For men. I presume the cut is broader at the shoulders . Also I would expect with no bust darts, although a lot modern women's shirts have no bust darts.  The snazzy shirt costs under ten pounds.  With free shipping. But that is only on goods shipped from their warehouse.other sellers have a threshold or minimum spend. Anyway, now we know you can get leopard skin pattern for men. They say it is true to size. You can click on their how to measure diagram. This covers bust, waist, hips and height. The pattern is a choice of colours. Black and white goes with more accessories, as well as formal occasions. The alternative is  what they call yellow, which looks brown on my screen. Brown can look good if you have brown hair, brown shoes and socks, and a brown belt. When you don't want to show what you are wearing, hide behind an amusing cushion.  I looked for the label on my favourite cushion, and speech propr. My grand-daughter also likes it.  The label said Puckator. They turned out to be a wholesaler, with a minimum seventy five pound spend. Great if you have a shop. Or even if you have a lot of parties, or want a huge number of identical gifts for Christmas for events. I still did not know where I had bought this cushion, retail. So I googled smiley face cushion. It immediately popped up as one of a series of face designs on round cushions, on Temu and ebay and other websites.  Then I found a version with a red Santa Christmas hat added. It was on ebay. The style is called bucket shape. Brimmed.  It needs hat elastic sewn on to stop it from floating off in a gust of wind, or looking down over water or a steep drop. The hat pattern is vertical stripes. The brim has horizontal stripes. Although the stipes do not do the way way as the tee-shirt's horizontal stripes, I think they go well together.  Turquoise chiffon long jacket with long dress supposedly in blue,  I was quite pleased with this. The fabric of the jacket is thin and see-through, chiffon gauze, not the same fabric as the dress. Of course this makes it lighter to post and pack. Nothing like as classy as my lace Ann Balon outfits which have a jacket of the same fabric as the dress. However, good enough for a summer or sumery warm evening. The colour or the dress is a swirl of colours so the jacket goes with all or none, depending on whether you are a glass half full or glass half empty person. I managed to match it up with two chiffon scarves with multi-colours.   2 The orange and black dress with Bolero top I chose this on colour. I really wanted a long jacket, but that was not available in my chosen colour at the budget price.  When it arrived, the jacket looked crumpled and creased However, it looked okay when I tried on the outfit.  The label says cool wash, stretchy and all that. Good enough. The colour was great. Bright. vivid. A change from my usual red. But still a warm colour. Because the dress base colour is black, I can match it with lots of jackets and variations. Unlike plain balack, it does not look funereal. Nor am I outshone by some young thing dressed head to tow in a bright colour. Next posts are about the Temu Turquoise Outfit and the pale blue.

I ordered four outfits from Temu. Temu is a marketplace, not one manfacturer, a sort of shop online. However, they sent all four items together inside one larger bag. I was pleased to have them all at once. Temu sends clothes in bags. When I order from Amazon it tends to be household goods or shoes which come in cardboard boxes. Their logo shows what they sell, clothes, accessories such as shoes and bags, toys. I was interested in clothes. The items were for warmer weather. I wondered whether to leave them neatly folded and compactly packed. Then I decided to open them. I wanted to check I had been sent the right items, sizes, colours, nothing missing, nothing I needed to return.  I would be able to give feedback if I wished to do so. Why give feedback. As a thank you. to encourage buyers to do so since I find the feedback helps me. Sometimes you have saved feedback and can check what you said about a supplier or an item. But the website might  not save your feedback forever. ...

 I saw a a tee shirt I liked on Etsy.  There was a half price offer on Etsy. Reduced from about 12 to 6, dollars or pounds, it doesn't matter. the important thing is that when I went to checkout I was asked to choose the size. the smallest size was for a baby. When I went to choose my adult size, the price was double the full price which had been shown on Etsy. You need to watch the top price offered as well as the lowest. the system tells you the lowest price for all sizes.  The result was that I was disenchanted with that item, that seller, that website, and shopping online for the day.  I had wasted 20 minutes of my time and not found anything at my price which was 10 to 15 dollars for a a tee shirt or blouse or shirt and 20 for a dress.   What is Temu? It was new to me when I read about it in the UK in June and July 2023. Not surprisingly, as I first saw it in the UK.  I was wondering what it was. Did it exist or was it a scam. I checked Wikipedia. As I suspected, it is a marketplace.  Wikipedia quotes sources. I generally don't. I summarize. Therefore, I won't say anything bad about any company for fear of  maligning a good company or being sued.  If I wanted goods, I would take the risk of ordering from a new company or one I did not know. I would prefer to deal with a company which had a tracking delivery, or a way of dealing with complaints about a failed supplier. Also a quicker delivery. However, if I was unsure about a new organization, and feeling cautious I would consider setting up a new bank account and a new email to protect myself from spams or worse.  I must say that the prices of delivery to the UK from the USA are exorbitant.
