Turquoise chiffon matching overjacket, dress 267




 Turquoise chiffon long jacket with long dress supposedly in blue, 

I was quite pleased with this. The fabric of the jacket is thin and see-through, chiffon gauze, not the same fabric as the dress. Of course this makes it lighter to post and pack. Nothing like as classy as my lace Ann Balon outfits which have a jacket of the same fabric as the dress. However, good enough for a summer or sumery warm evening. The colour or the dress is a swirl of colours so the jacket goes with all or none, depending on whether you are a glass half full or glass half empty person.

I managed to match it up with two chiffon scarves with multi-colours. I am also plannint to pack a belt because the dress is long for somebody of my height, claiming to be over five foot.

    Sweater embroidered with mock pearls matches my hat pinned with mock pearl brooches.  I had never worn this pale grey sweater  I thought pale grey was a boring colour and always opted for something brighter such as royal blue or bight red. Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
