Orange outfit, from Lidl and Primark, Dress of the Day 382

Image
Angela Lansbury in orange dress from Primark. Outfit 382. Photo by Trevor Sharot. At the Wriers' Summer School in Swanwick I admired two dresses, one was in green. The other was in orange. Plain simple dresses. Clear colours. Bright colours. Years ago, my mother would not have allowed me to buy a dress which was gathered, or anything with rick-rack braid. She would have said, no dtyling, no cut. Tht is what you put on bsbies. For adults women you need cut to make a fitted dress which enhances the curved or th breadst, wais,t hips and bottom. The Orange Dress Oh, well. I saw the orange dress in Lidl. I loved the colour. I had to have it. The size is ten. Slightly small for me. If you wear a long0sleeves thermal vest under it, the arms feel too tight. Esmara The label is Esmara. This is the Lidl brand. They aim to offer a range of staples such as tee-shirt, plus a few higher priced smart designer items but still at discounts compared to other sources. The orange dress was also avai...

Orange dress from Marks & Spencer, 594, outfit in pale orange teamed with soft green

Orange dress from Marks  & Spencer. Other items were gifts to the wearer, including the home made necklace. Photo by Angela Lansbury. I wear a lot of red, white and black. However, the soothing creamy green and orange combination worn by my new friend appealed to me. If you are looking for dresses in Marks & Spencer, in August (the Harrow branch in St Anne's outdoor shopping mall) had dresses for sale. I thought the prices were quite high, some reduced by as much as 70%, others by 30 to 50 per cent, several around forty pounds, others around thirty or about twenty. But tee-shirts included  an atractive one in white wiht a plam tree pattern in the centre, at under twenty pounds.   The sale was in August 2023. I expect that every year August will be the time to look in the sales.

Angela, wearing an orange reversible maxi dress. No label. The hat is just a brim. Bought at a ski resort in the USA. The white lace edging makes it smarter than a normal baseball cap and so it goes with dresses.  Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire, England, UK Useful Websites Waddesdon https://waddesdon.org.uk/

Red Sequin Cowgirl hat (dress 143) for Setting the American Atmosphere For Talks about Travelling the world

Image
Why do I wear  a red, pink, orange or leopard skin spots cowgirl hat? I would prefer to wear a cowgirl hat with cowgirl boots. However, whenever I wear a hat, even with the most incongruous outfit, I receive numerous compliments.  They are cheap to buy online. They fit any speech I give about the USA, or American accents. They suit me. The brim protects my eyes from light. If I am in lockdown since Covid-19, or in quarantine, a hat can cover my hair, whether it is merely untidy and uncombed, or needs the roots tinted.  Men can similarly wear hats to cover uncombed hair, grey hair, or a bald spot. Rock and Roll hall of Fame, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Photo from MusikAnimal in Wikipedia. A cowgirl hat is ideal wear if you want to sing American songs in karoake, dress up for a fancy dress party, or talk to Americans online. One of my contacts on the Polyglot community asked which language I like to hear.  Let's start with American clothes and accents. In New York you...
