Shoes on the underground train, including Crocs on the left. Photo by Angela Lansbury. Copyright. I admired these white Crocs on the train. I crept up close to check that they really were Crocs. They had the word CROCS embossed large. The real deal. Crocs are currently on offer. An advertisement for Crocs popped up on my Facebook page. Unfortunately, they only had their two low price offer of about 20 dollars on the colours yellow and orange. I already have a newish orange pair and an old yellow pair. I would never have bought white Crocs for fear that they would quickly get dirty. Of course, one of the advantages of Crocs is that you can wash them off quickly and easily. Even so, I hesitate to buy white shoes. They do look good.   Angela in orange. Photo by Trevor Sharot. Seasonal Orange Colour Chinese New Year colours are orange. Oranges. After taking the photo, I thought, I could have added seasonal and colour co-ordinated oranges. But that was not necessary as I already had my watering can which was orange. The Orange Shorts I love the bright colour of the orange shorts. The key piece of the outfit is the shorts.  The pattern is great.  Brand Emilio Valentino Brand Emilio Valentino. Not just valentino. Emilio Valentino. They were founded in the USA in the 1990s. 1n 1999, to be exact. Three nines, like the old UK all-purpose emergency phone number.  The similarly named Valentino group started in Italy in the 1960s.  Valentine - Valentino Converting the names into English, you get Emil and Valentine. With Valentine's day coming up, you can remember the name and how it translates from English to Italian. Do you recall the silent movie star Rudolf Valentino? I added the white top, then m...

Black and orange Swimsuit skirt - tied down! Dress of the day 291.

Black and orange swimsuit, worn by Angela. Photo by Trevor Sharot. Swimsuits With Skirts I wanted a swimsuit with a knee-length skirt and long sleeves. I needed protection from the sun in Singapore. I swim regularly.  I found what I wanted on websites using the words Muslim and modest swimsuit and two and three piece. This swimsuit came with leg coverings and a head piece. The whole outfit was overwhelming. It made me look like a robot and felt heavy.  However, months later, I eventually realized that I could wear the top half with black bikini bottoms from another swimsuit. I also cut in half a one piece suit. I had cut it in half because it had a back which was too low. The cut off half lower half, worn alone, fitted well enough around the waist.  Skirt Tie Down Ribbons The top piece comes with two black tubular ribbons of the same fabric which are attached inside at waist level. The ribbons are designed to stop the skirt flying up in the water. I presume they at...

Happy Halloween.  Pumpkin Orange Parasol and top. A shady Lady. Photo by Trevor Sharot. Black Bats Halloween headband from London, UK.  A headband is really handy. It is small enough to go inside a bag so you don't have to travel in your outfit. It shows when you are online in portrait view. I bought  this handy headband in Waitrose.  For another photo of an outfit featuring a view of the Halloween headband, see dress of the day 270. 'Pumpkin Orange' Top  The orange top comes from Next. The size is 12, the UK equivalent to European size 40.   The washing label says, Hand wash inside out. Iron on the reverse.  The fabric is 96% viscose, and 4% elastane, which gives it the comfortable stretch, and a one size stretches to fit all or most capability. The panel across the shoulders and top back is 100% polyester, The top is part of a 2 part set, possibly pyjamas,  made in China. I think I have only one part of the two part set, and bought it...
