The lining is red, so you don't notice the eyelets at a distance.  Size Alteration Size 16. I am now a size 10-12. It felt loose, slipping. I sewed it up at the waist for about an inch across the top at both side seams. I used red cotton to match. White Top The white top is eyelet. Mustard Yellow blouse Primark. Small pearl buttons. White Slip With Lace Hem The half slip label is Laura Ashley. Red Belt A red belt would have connected the red bow in my hair with the red sandals. Mother of Pearl Pendant I wanted to wear a large pendant to be seen at a distance. The mother of pearl looks classy. The colour goes with anything. With this outfit, red would have been better. My husband liked the outfit. However, I got a negative reaction when we were about to go out for dinner in a smart Italian restaurant.  I asked, "I this outfit all right for...

Mustard dress of the day 292

Angela Lansbury in mustard yellow colour dress. Photo by Trevor Sharot. I found this dress online when I was in London. I was looking for something like my Ann Balon dress which I wore at our son's wedding. Ann Balon dresses, even on sale in the shops and online, are expensive, and heavy.  I looked for dress and matching scarf, lace dress, two piece dress.   I found this dress listed under boho which is short for bohemian. The lace inserts, known as godets.  The long sleeves which hitch up.  I was disapointed in the colour because I was wearing vibrant reds and royal blues and green. However, the mustard goes perfectly with blonde hair. And with gold-rimmed glasses. I thought the dress was dull and the sleeves were too heavy for Singapore. However, in Singapore you can be quite cold indoors in an air-coonditioned restaurant. Outdoors, you might want your arms covered to protect yourself fro...

Be Beautiful in Blue. How to do True Blue to match blue eyes to a blue hat, Under Armour tee-shirt and dress. Outfit, dress of the day number 277.

Blue-eyed in a blue outfit, dress of the day 277. Photo by Angela Lansbury.  Jet lag makes me look extremely haggard. Never mind. I love this blue outfit, royal blue, bright blue, true blue. Beautiful blue. Red is exciting but blue is soothing. Eyes Eyes reflect surrounding colours. On a gray day my eyes look a dull gray. But wear all blue and the eyes reflect blue. Apparently you can get contact lenses which change your eye colour. Another option is spectacles with coloured frames. I started this outfit with the tee-shirt. Under Armour Tee-shirt The tee-shirt is made in Vietnam and was bought in Vietnam. Many shops had them in different sizes and colours and prices. The logo on the outside says Under Armour. The inside label says heatgear (with a copyright symbol). The size is XXL. It is soft, stretchy and smart with the silver embroidered motif. I wish I had bought more in more colours. They would also have made great gifts. On looking in Wikipedia, I discovered that Under...
