The Pink Painting As the Perfect Prop Beside Pink Clothes. Post 577

I have changed the belt from a thick scarf to a thin pink ribbons. The ribbon is on a reel I bought from Daiso in Singapore. Daiso is Japanese. The syllable, the word, Dai, is the word big in Chinese-Japanese.  Angela Lansbury wearing dress of the day 577, vintage Comfy top and skirt made by converting matching trousers. Photo edited by Angela with posterize filter. This is how the painting was displayed by us in the first photo we took, with the painting sideways, which neither of us realized. The other top is longer which is more flattering as I am short.  However, I like the pattern on this top. I like the leaves in white. They are pretty. They distract from what would otherwise be overwhelming solid colour.  The white enables the outfit to co-ordinate with white accessories. You could wear a white belt and white shoes and a whi

Angela with a soft toy rabbit for Chinese New Year. Selfie by Angela Lansbury. When Chinese New Year meetings were held online on Zoom for Toastmasters International speakers' clubs, I thought I should keep a prop handy. My first thought was a mask. That is an item of clothing or accessories. Everyone can relate to wearing that.  Then I thought, it was the year of the rabbit. How about a drawing of a rabbit, or download a picture of a rabbit and print it off.  Did I have a rabbit toy or puppet? I have lots of soft toys and puppets. I hunted around and, sure enough, I had a rabbit. Inface I had thre. I selected one which was just the right size. No too small to see. Just right. Rabbits I had a soft toy rabbit which I kept on my desk in case I had an opportunity to speak about it during Chinese New Year. On Saturday 28th January I was in a Zoom meeting of a Toastmasters Group for training speakers, Braddell Heights 2. I had been invited to be the Language Evaluator. The table topic

Angela is wearing pink Comfy Clothes. Photo by Trevor Sharot.  The Pink Outfit What should I call this colour? Coral? 'Dusty pink', said my husband.  I originally had a matching two piece set, which consisted of a long tunic top and wide trousers. I slit the trousers up the seam of the inside legs to make a skirt with slit sides. Now a have a matching set of skirt and a top. The colours are very slightly different, which is less apparent in daylight, but shows in this photo. The fabrics came from different batches, and were bought from the shop on different visits. The belt The belt is a scarf. I rolled it up and tied it into a bow. The Spectacle of Dolly Wearing Spectacles Dolly is wearing spectacles which I added. I was looking around the room for somewhere to put the spectacles, when my eyes alighted on her and I thought, I'll put them on her head for a moment.  I decided I liked the look, an intellectual dolly. She is the type who likes reading. So I left the glasses

My favourite boots in black. I ordered them - with help and hindrance from a credit card. Post 574.

I managed to order the black boots, just like my wine colour pair, from Wish. I love the fancy flower petal design on the toe. It compensates from and distracts from the rounded toe. A rounded toe is more comfortable. The bootees are flat, but non-slip. Credit Card Problems. A couple of days ago I tried to order from Wish but the system would not take the credit card and I gave up. When I went back and tried again, a couple of days later, the second time I tried filling in the card, I noticed something odd.  Update - I was using the old credit card. The system doesn't tell you what you have done wrong. I had to change the end date and the password.  The new card has an unfamiliar layout. The helpline comes first. So you are tempted to instinctively type that in as the first number required. The number they need is at the bottom of the card. My typing of the credit card details had another hiccup, a small delay. My keyboard could not find the forward slash for the date.  Luckily, my
