Their shops supporting their local hospice are in Pinner, Harrow St Anns Shopping Mall, Hatch End, Another group of hospice shops is in the Sheffield area of England, and they sell clothing and furniture. So, if you want to put together a colourful and co-ordinated outfit, find a bargain, affordable clothes, or to support charity, you have several choices. Going abroad? The dusky blue cap is from Primark,  Britain's big budget clothing chain. It hs six teeny breathing holes.  New Zealand Op Shops  I bought this Wild Child shirt from a charity shop, known as an Op Shop, in New Zealand. Charity shops were not making enough money and were seen as downmarket shops for second hand outdated clothes. So a bright lady introduced the name Op Shops for Opportunity Shops, which is what they are now called in Australia and New Zealand. Back in the UK, 6 months later, I discovered this top languishing in my holiday suitcase, never worn. The shop label still attached. So the item is new to me!  "What do you want for your birthday?" my family asked me.  I wanted more clothes. But my family members already think I have too many.  So, I asked for silk pillowcases. When I searched online, I tried to find silk, from silkworms. I did not want satin, which is a type of weave. Satin can be made from any one of several kinds of fabric, including polyester. The visible difference is that satin, although thin, and soft and shiny on one side, is matt on the underside. I looked for the word silk. But also the word mulberry, which is the plant which silkworms feed on. Polyester is something different. Sets Of Two Some of the manufacturers offered sets of two pillowcases. Why would I settle for one when I can gettwo. I would rather have two cheaper ones than one more expensive one. Why? Because I need two when one has been hand-washed and is drying. (Eyelet dresses used to be called broderie anglaise. Once folksy, now fashionable. In the old days only white, now also in black and all kinds of colours.) What did I want? Preferably not white, because I already have one in white and would like a change. I bid on this attractive lime green. I won the bidding at only five pounds but the postage was over three so the total was about eight pounds. Still a bargain. The dress price ticket said twenty pounds! As the old saying goes, you win some, you lose some. This is one that I won, in both senses of the word. I won the auction. I won a bargain. The Dress Brand & Label The neck label says Made in Italy. Unfortunatelyk it is not quite the same colour as my long-sleeved shirt. I was hoping they would match. Then I could take off the sleeved version or wear it as a jacket indoors over lunch.  Not much point in wearing a sleeveless sun protection shirt is there? I suppose it protects your neck and chest, and you could cover your arms with suncream, and wear less suncream than you would need with an open neck. You do have assorted options. The collar is the same as the sleeved version. You can wear it normally. Or turn up a kind of hidden Mandarin collar for more neck protection and a different look.
