I love the pale orange colour. Unfortunatelyk it is not quite the same colour as my long-sleeved shirt. I was hoping they would match. Then I could take off the sleeved version or wear it as a jacket indoors over lunch. 

Not much point in wearing a sleeveless sun protection shirt is there? I suppose it protects your neck and chest, and you could cover your arms with suncream, and wear less suncream than you would need with an open neck. You do have assorted options.

The collar is the same as the sleeved version. You can wear it normally. Or turn up a kind of hidden Mandarin collar for more neck protection and a different look.

Craghoppers Sleeveless Blouse With One side pocket

This one has one zipped pocket at the side seam. The zip ensures nothing falls out. 

The pocket is on the left. Irritatingly, irritating for me because I am right-handed, the pocket is on the left. If you are left-handed, that might suit you.  That is better than a chest pocket which leaves you with one side of your bust larger if you fill the pocket.

The label says, designed in the UK since 1965. Made in China. Size 10 (UK size) EU36  UA 5/6. A handy reminder of how the sizes compare.

I bought two of the sleeved version, in different sizes. Although the smaller one fits closely on the bust which looks neat, the looser one does up at the waist. I wore the larger one daily on holiday in Cyprus. I only wore the smaller size when the larger one had not dried when I washed it overnight. If I took it off at 4 pm and changed into a swimsuit and then evening clothes, the shirt was usually dry enough to wear by next day.

I found lots of shirts in assorted colour for women on their website under women and outlet. For men, lots of items on Amazon.

Other Short Sleeved Shirts (not Solar protective)

If you don't care about sun protection, and just want a short sleeved shirt which buttons all the way up with one pocket in a bright colour, two or more suppliers have them on ebay for only five pounds sterling and free postage, brand Regatta or unbranded. Plain colours include white, navy, pink, purple, jade green. From other makers there are lots of check patterns. You can also have some with elastane stretch, and without pockets if you don't like the lopsided one pocket.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London. You can buy from their current range online. Of their current range, in January 2024, i like the reversible gilet in wine and pink. Brand clockhouse. Standup collar. Zip. They call the colour purple.
