Close up view of the curved collar and cuffs of the Alternatives blouse from the previous post. Pleats Another feature of the Alternatives blouse, harder to copy, is the small pleats.  Pleat Names I looked up pleats. I wanted to know the names. I had heard of box pleats. And kick pleats at the back hem of skirts. I think these tiny pleats are called knife pleats. Wikihow shows how you sew various pleats. Alternatives label mystery The word Alternatives brings up many websites about alternative clothes, in the singular, and the word label brings up label makers. So I cannot find the manufacturer. I recently discovered that a number like an ISBN for books identifies the manufacturer RN Registered Identification Number (and the specific design),  something required by law in the USA, but you need the washing instruction label which is sometimes cut off of lost. Anthony Sicari Red Suit Outfit Worn In Winter I added a thick skirt for warmth when travelling in the British winter.  only when I did a search for a picture of the outfit on this blog did I discover that the outfit came with a thin pleated skirt, which had become detached from the top. Then I added another slip in black. Bulky, admittedly. I was more concerned about getting cold walking to and from a station, sitting on a station platform, and walking to my destination from the central London underground train station. Blouse For Warmth The white blouse also adds another layer for warmth. They say, dress in layers. If I got too hot, I could remove one or b...

Google kept finding me South Africa, hotels called South Lodge, loding in the south of the USA.  I did find one South Lodge top on etsy. The top which was cream colour was described as vintage by the seller. But it had no sequins nor embroidery.  I was not tempted to buy. Nor even show you, my dear reader, the picture. Where did I buy this blue top? From which country and which seller? Online?  Or from the second hand clothes sho...
