Dress Of The Day with Angela

  In the sunny summer I wore white with pretty pink or vibrant red dresses and jacket outfits. No that it is September and autumn in the northern hemisphere I look right in autumn colours. Orange, olive green and black. The label says XXL, polyester, made in China. Three quarter sleeves, below the elbow. I was wondering about adding something to lengthen the sleeve for winter. Maybe cut the black sleeves off a tee-shirt whose pattern I don't like. I could look for a black tee shirt or a black shirt with cuffs. I could sew it on like a lining.  No name on the label but must be from Temu. I bought several of these dress and jacket sets in the summer

If you stand badly or have a broken collar bone or other bone, the jacket hangs lopsidedly.  I did it up at the neck. I looked for a brooch. I had second thoughts. I did not want to risk making a hole in the jacket fabric, especially in an obvious place like top centre under the neck. I saw an elastic hairband. I pulled the two top corners of the jacket through the band - not tight enough. So I  twisted the elastic band into a figure of eight, folded it into a double circle, and pulled the corners through a second time. That worked. Orange and black Shein dress worn by Angela Lansbury. Copyright Angela Lansbury. I bought the dress and co-ordinating orange jacket together for my summer holiday. When I was notified of sale items I searched for dress and matching jacket. I really wanted a long dress and elegant matching coat, at under twenty pounds. Most of them were just a bit beyond my budget  I bought a couple of them, not in the colours I wanted of red or pink or orange. The were not in my price or not in my size. So I opted for blue and purple. Then this popped up with a shorter jacket in orange and I was tempted and succumbed. The dress was long for me. So long that I would have tripped up. Luckily I had tried on all my outfits as I packed, and seeing that I needed a belt, I found A wide black belt. I packed a long black ribbon, which I could tie in a bow.
