Red and White Dress, Two Piece Set

Size large. Polyester 95%. Elastane 5%. Made in China. Do not dry clean.
Perfect. 
Arrived fast, in time for my birthday. 

Red Sandals

Now I need red summer sandals to wear with it. I have some. Brand Free-step.

The Red Jacket

The jacket has no fastening, no buttons, what is called edge to edge. If you stand badly or have a broken collar bone or other bone, the jacket hangs lopsidedly. 

I did it up at the neck. I looked for a brooch. I had second thoughts. I did not want to risk making a hole in the jacket fabric, especially in an obvious place like top centre under the neck.

I saw an elastic hairband. I pulled the two top corners of the jacket through the band - not tight enough. So I  twisted the elastic band into a figure of eight, folded it into a double circle, and pulled the corners through a second time. That worked.

The Full Length Sleeves

The red sleeves reach my wrists. That is good. If I wanted, I could turn them back, underneath.

The plain red jacket should go with other outfits.

Adding A Scarf Accessory - Unnecessary

I tried adding a red scarf, a long loose-ended scarf with a large heart shaped metal pendant in the middle. But that hung down more one side than the other. It looked untidy. The outfit is fine and co-ordinated as it is, without extras.

Adding A Bag

I really need a red or green bag to go with the outfit. 

Silver or gold colour will be fine. Maybe black or white.

The Red Dress

I spent hours finding a dress which covered my shoulders, not spaghetti straps. In hot countries I want to avoid the cold of air con, chilly night, and evening insects such as mosquitos and midges.

Multi-colour Oasis Trading Indian skirt, and Marks & Spencer Black Jacket, dress of the day 528

  The Marks & Spencer Jacket I bougtht the jacket because I wanted a long open ended zip to go on a long wrap around dressing gown without the garment gapping. I bought in a hurry. Only one pound. When I got it home I noticed it had a hood. My first thought was, that's handy, I've been looking online for hoods to add to some jackets and coats. I thought the jacket looked small.  In fact, when I tried it on it hugged me tight like underwear. This was good. It felt like a corset. The tight jacket worn over the too-long skirt, it helped keep the skirt up so that I didn't trip over it. However, my idea of cutting up the jacket went when I saw the label. Marks & Spencer. That's a brand I trust. Properly finished seams. No loose ends. Although one of a multi-pack set of underwear, the waist cotton pulled out.) But outer garments are always strongly made. Pearl brooches on hat paired with M & S sweater with pearls. Dress Post 686 by Angela Lansbury

    Sweater embroidered with mock pearls matches my hat pinned with mock pearl brooches.  I had never worn this pale grey sweater  I thought pale grey was a boring colour and always opted for something brighter such as royal blue or bight red. However, as I re-folded warm winter tops to fit them into my crammed dresser unit shelves, this fell out. Was the universe sending me a message?  I thought, I don't remember ever wearing it.  I must wear it once. Just for a change.  Snow is falling outside in London. Now is its hour. I looked  at the decoration. Sequins! I had been searching for sequins to wear at New Year. This thick sweater would not match my red solid sequin evening skirt. However, it would match my knitted hat, which bore brooches with mock pearls. The Grey Marl Sweater M & S Collection. Size 14. a mixture of four fabrics, cotton.  As I had anticipated, the garment had pinned inside some spare sequins and pearls and rhinestones....
