Online second hand clothes opportunity to buy or sell 320

Image
I was looking for silk suits, skirt suits, to show you wahat you could buy and wear if you fancied a skirt suit like the one from Patra shown in my prvious blog post. I googled Patra silk skirt and on about my fourth search up came a company which was new to me, Thrift plus. They have been going since 2017. How did I miss them! Instead of dealing with the individual seller, like on ebay, you deal with a warehouse, like the thrift shops such as Refash which I used to frequent in Singapore at Bukit Panjang and other places.  Check out their story and their products.  Useful Websites Buying clothes https://thrift.plus/our-story EBAY ebay.co..uk ebay.com ETSY etsy etsy.com vinted https://www.vinted.co.uk/ depop https://www.depop.com/gb/ Buying and Selling in Singapore https://refash.sg/ Selling clothes https://www.top10best-ecommerce-websitebuilders.co.uk/gb/online-store/ https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-13292319/Ebay-cuts-fees-selling-clothes-cheaper-Vinted...

Natural or Synthetic - which lasts longest, creates less waste? Post 296

Is Natural Best When Buying Fabrics? The comments often say, stop buying synthetics and go back to natural fibres.  Cotton must be good, surely? But moths are eating my cotton and wool clothes, even new ones. Do Moth Repellents Work? Perhaps they do. But not enough to save my clothes. I am using moth balls and insect sprays. However, the cotton clothes and wool get holes and stains faster than synthetics. But this is not my experience with accessories. Disintegrating Bags And Shoes When it comes to bags, belts and shoes, synthetics seem to diintegrate fast, even when you are not using the item. My shoes disintegrate. My Hotter shoes, fine on top, but the black thick soles crumbled. Synthetic Bags Disintegrate Yes, leather wallets disintegtae. Plastic folders holding bus passes and address cards will disintegrate.  Belts break into fissure and grow frayed around the edges. What are the solutions? Some companies offer discounts on new clothes if you return old ones which t...

Valentine's Day Black Hearts from Shein, and Red jacket, dress of the day 586

Image
Angela Lansbury, wearing top from Shein with black hears. Photo by Trevor Sharot. Red Jacket The red jacket is also called a cape blazer. Sometimes described as open sleeve. The label is Be Jealous. Adds colour to liven up the black and white. Red Hat Less than ten pounds. I have them in several colours. I didn't buy them all at once. I didn't want to make a mistake nor break the budget. I bought one to see if the fabric was right. Then re-ordered every now and then. White top with Black hearts The white top with small black hearts comes from Shein. The hearts are small. Subtle. Don't show up well on a photo or if covered by a jacket.  Black and white are easy to match with other clothes. black and white for summer and winter, day and evening. White Sleeves Pretty Little Thing is the label. I bought it second hand from Refash. The sleeves were my dream, separate sleeves to go with sleeveless tops.  Why add sleeves? To look more elegant, less casual. More formal, more bu...

Money for old clothes? Buy and sell through Carousell in Singapore, Asia, Australia or Ebay, Etsy, Vinted (Europe and Americas) and many more in the UK, USA and worldwide Post 537

In Singapore a good place for selling and buying second hand clothes is refash. I have found them good for buying second hand clothes. I used two branches. One is in Changi Point, near the Expo MRT, one stop from Changi Airport. Another place is Carousell. If you are puzzling over the spelling, the usual spelling of the word carousel, which the British call a roundabout, is carousel, but the company name word ends Sell, with a double ll, as in buying and selling. Wiki explains Carousell logo Carousell  is a  Singaporean   smartphone  and web-based  consumer to consumer  and  business to consumer  marketplace for buying and selling new and secondhand goods. Headquartered in Singapore, it also operates in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, [1]  Cambodia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, [2]  Australia, New Zealand and Canada. [3]  Carousell is available on both  iOS  and  Android  devices. The UK and Europe - Ebay The ...
