I bought a tarten pair of pyjamas in a red and black and white pattern. Label Senza Sleepwear. Angela Lansbury wearing a red, white and black pyjama set by label Senza. One day I was rushing to an appointment when I accidentally put on the pyjama top instead of the blouse!  They looked so similar, I don't suppose anybody noticed. I had a jacket on top most of the day. I felt happy.  The only difference was that the pyjama top had an open neck.  It looked so similar that I don't think anybody except me would have known the difference. The pyjama top felt and looked better. It is in a soft fabric, loose and comfortable.  It goes with a black skirt, a perfect match. It is an alternative to wear if I am washing the shirt by hand overnight and it is not yet dry next morning.. In fact...

I was looking for beads to add to the elastic string which had only half a dozen tiny red beads and one larger star on an elastic thread. In my sewing box I found a packet of small pearl beads which are made in New Zealand.   At first threading them was difficult, in poor light at night. I could not easily find and see the hole.  When I found the hole, the thread would not go through.  i was trying to push the thread through from the right with my right hand.  I wet the end of the fraying thread. One success. Now it was a matter of persisting.  I discovered that it was easier to thread if the hole was on top of the bead. You pshed the thred downwards. tie the elastic with a secure knot. You can push the two ends back inside the bead if te hole is large enough. Or buy a bead designed to conceal thread knots. She said that the more expensive cottons are waxed so that the fine threads bind together.  I had previously thought that the thread on the wooden spools was more expensive because of the cost of the spool. Now I realise that threads are not all the same quality.  Thread Monthly I just found a really handy guide to different types of thread. From Threadsmonthly. Beeswax - Threading Needles They suggested that if the end of your thread is fraying, so that you cannot thread a needle, you run the end of the thread through beeswax. That is really handy.  I had a pot of beeswax and did not know why I had it or what I was supposed to do with it. If you cannot get the fraying end of your thread through the small head of a small needle, you can switch to a smaller needle, but that might make large holes...

(Americans say closet.) Green Colours We disagreed about the correct way to describe the colour. I called the velvet feel, suede effect uppers of the shoes - 'lime'. My husband said they were pistachio. He said a lime on a tree is a dark green.  These shoes heel covering at the side don't have the rope effect which creates a beach and holiday feel. On the other hand the shiny synthetic look goes well with after dinner and evening wear. So far, so good. However, my joy did not last long. Gorgeous shoes.
