Insect Bites Problem  I was bitten twice by insects, once on each leg. I was not outdoors, but sitting at my desk. Anti insect spray, and insect repellent, had not protected me. Insect Bite Prevention The solution was to wear long trousers (Americans say pants). I looked in my pile of summer wear and found a pair of long, green, leg coverings. The Green Stretchy Trousers (Pants) The brand label was MACJAYS. Made in New Zealand. I must have bought them second hand from an op shop on holiday in New Zealand. They were size 14. A bit tight.  Deep Cuffs The cuffs were turned up. I tried to turn down the cuffs. they were sewn up both sides. One of them had become detached on one side. I cut the other one to match.  I was unpacking my suitcase from a trip to New Zealand earlier this year when I came across a bright yellow fabric tote bag. I did not need a bag. But I looked at it. The colour was what i call screaming yellow. With large white circles or discs, a bit like large polka dots, but too big to be comfortably called dots. Mysterious Unusual Straps The bag was large and had wide handles. Something strange about it. What were those handles for? They were slotted through large reinforced buttonhole style slots. So the handles slipeed through as if you could adjust the bag in some way. Why were the handles through slits at the base of the bag as well as the top? Was it for carrying a baby on your front or back? I looked at the label giving the brand name, Notabag. Why not a bag? Not just a bag, but something else as well, too long to put in the brand name. The dusky blue cap is from Primark,  Britain's big budget clothing chain. It hs six teeny breathing holes.  New Zealand Op Shops  I bought this Wild Child shirt from a charity shop, known as an Op Shop, in New Zealand. Charity shops were not making enough money and were seen as downmarket shops for second hand outdated clothes. So a bright lady introduced the name Op Shops for Opportunity Shops, which is what they are now called in Australia and New Zealand. Back in the UK, 6 months later, I discovered this top languishing in my holiday suitcase, never worn. The shop label still attached. So the item is new to me! In Singapore a good place for selling and buying second hand clothes is refash. I have found them good for buying second hand clothes. I used two branches. One is in Changi Point, near the Expo MRT, one stop from Changi Airport. Another place is Carousell. If you are puzzling over the spelling, the usual spelling of the word carousel, which the British call a roundabout, is carousel, but the company name word ends Sell, with a double ll, as in buying and selling. And/or enlarge the sleeve holes. Or slit it down the sides and wear it as a tabard. To hold it in place, my favourite easy adjustment, add two ribbons. All you do is sew on two small pieces of ribbon. Buy ribbons cheaply from a cut price store. Or borrow the rope or fabric handles from paper tote bags which you and other people throw out. Buttons The pockets are both decorated with one button which says JEANS, in capital letters, rivetted on.
