  These lovely ear rings are white shell at the front, gold at the back, with glitter. Bought from Mango shop in Poland.  Are they real shell? I thought probably not.  However, I found lots of shell items which say they are real shell. They are perfectly matched mirror image. For pierced ears.  I met this lovely lady at a dinner party for Toastmasters clubs, held at the restaurant on Northwick Park Golf course just beyond Northwick Park Hospital. Mango has branches in many other countries, includiing Singapore.  The size is European size XL. That is Large in the USA.  The jacket is lined. It has two pockets with a neat top edging strip.  I sewed on white plastic clips in the middle centre. I am barefoot because we have all taken off our shoes indoors. No chance of high heels making you look taller. Nobody tells you to take off your shoes. You just see that the host is without shoes. A huge area of shoes is by the door. It is obvious that you are expected to remove your shoes.  Why remove shoes? For cleanliness. The lion dancers will be lying on the floor.  Now in February 2023 I cannot see cape blazers in Mango. Shein and many other online companies have cape blazers or jackets, as well as dresses and full length coats, at attractive prices. But lower prices may mean ...

Americans call buying 'preloved' items, thrifting. I had looked at the Refash price ranges. If I could not find anything in the lower price range, the best value in the upper price range was a full length dress.  Advantages Of A Full Length Dress A full length dress is quicker when you are trying to decide what to put on, rather than trying to match up tops and skirts of different colours and patterns. The overall effect is neater. You look taller, if you are tiny as I am, in an upright oblong, rather than in two square dice shapes, whether they are the same colour separated by a midriff or belt, or different colours. I found a lovely dress which was small. I had already rejected it on my first spinning circle around the shop because it was small. On second thoughts, I wondered if I could cut it. May...

(St Luke's has about 17 shops all over north west London, raising money for hospices.)  The blouse has no label. Maker unknown.  I took a fancy to the summery pattern with jolly red. I tried it on. It suited me. I bought it.   A feature is the double button. Having two buttons, one on each side of the opening, allows for the wearer's change of size, or sex if you want to fasten it differently. The Red Silk Skirt The red skirt is from Monsoon, UK size 16.  The waist is tightened with safety pins.  The colour changes from jolly red at the waist down to burgundy at the hem, That is a good place to have a darker colour.  I used to wonder why a company would choose a different brand name. Surely, if you buy from Marks & Spencer, or Sainsbury's, or Primark, that label tells you enough. Then I found out why they change brand names.  Some of these companies sell worldwide, although you might find more stores in their home country.  Update July 24 2023 Not only to they have different names for clothes for men, women, and children, sometimes for teens, for classic and modern, for businesslike and for sexy/disco wear, for luxury three piece lined clothes with double stitching and spare buttons for mother of the brides which are dry clean only, and for skimpy, light crop tops you can wash in a machine or wash by hand.
