Leopard Skin Outfits Galore For sexy, Snazzy Girls, 'a la' outfits, post 535

Image
Angela Lansbury wearing a leopard pattern coat from St Luke's in London, England. Photo by Trevor Sharot. I bought a budget price coat in loepard skin pattern. I was sure I had bought something in that pattern previously. I searched my own blog and discovered that I already own several outfits.  I also have, somewhere in my clutter of clothes, an assortment of amusing acessories. My low price items include a fun, leopard skin pattern cowgirl hat.   Low Price Leopard Skin Coat & Accessories See also post 527 of Angela Lansbury in a leopard skin pattern coat from St Luke's in London, England. Free Leopardskin Broken Umbrella The cheapest item was completely free, a rescued broken umbrella which somebody had abandoned under a bush after a shower of rain in Singapore. I could not bear to part with the pretty fabric. I cut it off.  I placed it over another plain colour umbrella. You could do this to rescue an umbrella and disguise or replace fabric which has lines of ...

My bargain blue tee-shirt and shoes. Dress 506. (504 updated with hat and brolly)  Angela Lansbury wearing bargain blue tee-shirt and blue does. Dress of the day 506. Photo by Trevor Sharot. Copyright. The white umbrella creates a lighter, summery effect. I tried out the two shades of blue. I think this matches better. This is the item after I bought it and brought it home. Angela wearing  blue tee-shirt with pattern of hearts in blue, yellow, white, and rusty, dusky pink heart. Look closely and you will see that some hearts are filled in and others are outlined. This is a handy romantic outfit for Valentines Day on February 14th or Wedding anniversaries or date nights. Blue Bargain Sandals My fifteen Singapore dollar sandals are in two shades of blue and white.  A triple leaf pattern is on the top front, behind the toes. The ankle strap is hook and loop. They feel comfortable. The heel is solid, raised on a slope, sometimes called platform heels. Size 36. They have six t...

How To Hide: Changing Clothes By Swimming Pools, Waterfalls And Seasides. Post dress, or undress, 412

Image
When I was a teenager in the late 1960s, I went on a holiday with a fellow student to Greece, Turkey and Israel. I travelled in a bikini. It acted as bra and pants. I showered in it. I swam in it. No need to undress. After the swim, we would sit in the sun. The bikini was cotton and dried quickly.  In countries requiring a one piece costume, you need another solution. Something discreet.  1The solution is to have a large towel which somebody else, family or friend, can hold. 2 If you are alone, you could change behind a large umbrella. 3A wrap around skirt is another solution. 4 Or a wrap around dress. 5 Or a sarong. Maid Marion Makes All Green With Envy of the Bargain Brolly in green Pattern. Dress 377. Bargain Brollies.

Image
Angela in all green outfit, dress 303. Photo by Trevor Sharot Brolly is British English for umbrella. Green Skirt The skirt is actually an underskirt, for sarees, ordered from India. Heavy cotton with a drawstring of multi-plaited white rough string. Small pleats are around the hem. I ordered this style in two shades of green. Through ebay. You can see the petticoat with a different top, a totally different effect, in dress 340 with a greeny blue top.  Price just under ten Singapore dollars, about twice the cost of the similar underskirts from Mustaf Centre in Singapore, where the current price (April 2022) is about 4.95 Singapore dollars. The Straight Neck tie The straight edged neck tie in green was cut off the hem of a dress which was too long. The hem was getting caught under my shoes' toes as I walked. And dragging on the ground getting dirty. After I shortened, I had the bonus strip of green fabric to match the dress as a belt, or other green outfits. The Green Umbrell...

How To Sort Your Clothes By Colour? Lessons from the colour blind, Colour Conscious and Creative! Co-ordinated for all year, day and night time, funerals or weddings, Valentine's Day and special occasions

Image
Brides wear white. A simple colour scheme. White dress, white shoes. Co-ordinated. Colour schemes are chosen for the theme of the wedding. That gets the bride into good habits!   Uncle  Ronald. My colour blind late uncle Ronald had all his clothes sorted into sets with labels: Blue shirt goes with blue tie. White shirt goes with black tie. Since he had recently died, I was the executor of his will, this made me very sad. Now, several years on, I can turn this story around. Isn't that great? Yes! He was able to go out, perfectly co-ordinated. His life was in order. At least, his clothes were in order. The handwriting was not his, so somebody else had helped him to organize the colours.  What a useful lesson. I could do the same. You could do the same.  He had very few clothes. Less than a dozen shirts. Less than a dozen ties. In a morning, afternoon or evening, he could have listed all the colours and sorted out the scheme for the rest of his life. You and I cou...

Create a Spring or Sunshine look with Sunshine Yellow: Top Plus Princess Pyjama Bottoms Converted To A Skirt. Dress of the Day 327

Image
Angela Lansbury wearing a sunshine yellow pre-loved top, plus pyjama bottoms converted to s skirt. Dress of the day 327. Photo by Trevor Sharot. The Lynchpin Lemon Yellow Top The yellow top has short sleeves which are hidden under the white cape blazer. The yellow colour grows on you, especially when you add more yellow. It makes me happy. Sunshine yellow, lemon yellow, with a turquoise green edging strip. The edging has tiny tubular green beads and the smallest sequins I have every seen in pearly white. The label is hard to read. Could it be Cento x Cento? Cento is a small place in Italy.  Cento fashion house is Greek and has no garment anything like this. Size 42. I was thinking, what a pity there's no other label. Then I looked inside and found it. Cento x Cento. When the garment is turned inside out, the reason for the turquoise effect is revealed. The base colour is blue, with green leaves overprinted. The top is stretchy. 93% rayon, 7% elastic. The Yellow Dickey Fillin...

Blue, soothing sky blue and palm tree pattern. Best dress colours. Angela's Dress of the day 309. FAQ: Why number photos? Labels and Brands.

Image
My third bargain price dress from my hurried Holland Village shop is this soothing but lively blue. What can we learn from this picture? Photo by Trevor Sharot. This dress is one of three short knee length dresses with the same cut, which I bought in Holland Village, Singapore. I love palm trees and soothing sky blue makes a change from my usual colour scheme of vibrant, riotous reds and outrageous oranges. The blue sky is two shades of blue.  Numbering Photo I started numbering my pictures of clothes outfits since so many of them were called red dress or blue dress. I was having a hard time finding a previous picture on Facebook. I also wanted to be able to refer back to whether I had worn an outfit before. I had my first fifty in order, taking unworn and once unwanted items from the far end of the rail on the right and putting items which I had worn recently on the left. Soon, that system of sorting clothes changed to clothes co-ordinated by colour scheme. One black j...

How to convert pyjamas into a skirt - and create a sunshine outfit. Dress of the day 229 Yellow: silk blouse from China, skirt converted from Next pyjamas, dickey from child's top

Image
Sharot Family Photo by Trevor Sharot. Angela is wearing: a yellow pure silk blouse made in China. This is a loose, comfortable, casual outfit. I started by converting grey pyjama bottoms into a skirt. The yellow contrast colour was much more appealing than the grey. I found a yellow silk blouse, loose like the skirt. Then yellow shoes. A yellow child's vest. Finally, the yellow umbrella. Sunshine! The Yellow Silk Blouse The yellow silk blouse label says pure silk, made in China.  The silk is slightly rough. I wonder whether washing with lots of fabric conditioner will have any softening effect. Once the garment is on me, I don't notice the texture. It is loose and I like it. A silk blouse? Silk should be soft and special. But it looks loose and casual. I look more carefully. The blouse has short side slits. The slits are curved on both sides. Blouse Adaptability I wore the blouse outside the skirt first. That seemed most comfortable in hot weather.  But I looked in the ...

Image
Dress of the Day, 108, Best blue, best foot forward. Photo by Trevor Sharot. I am wearing a Jacques Vert blouse with royal blue embroidery on a plaquet which has zig zagging buttons.  Jacques Vert plus blouse. What does plus mean? Plus size? The Dress is Berkertex imitation velvet, but according to the washing label it is polyester. The reversible scarf, is black one side, dark green the other with a blue tinge. It looks like velvet but, is probably the same sort of fabric as the dress, polyester.  The scarf is fastened with an antique brooch. The heavy cardigan coat is black with applique black velvet and tiny iridescant beads. Notice the return of the umbrella with the cat's head handle. The umbrella has a canopy in black with black cat's paw prints. C lick on the picture to see the footwear. The black ankle boots are by German brand, Josef Seibel.  Comments and captions please.
