Leopard Skin Outfits Galore For sexy, Snazzy Girls, 'a la' outfits, post 535

I bought a budget price coat in loepard skin pattern. I was sure I had bought something in that pattern previously. I searched my own blog and discovered that I already own several outfits. 

I also have, somewhere in my clutter of clothes, an assortment of amusing acessories. My low price items include a fun, leopard skin pattern cowgirl hat.

Free Leopardskin Broken Umbrella

The cheapest item was completely free, a rescued broken umbrella which somebody had abandoned under a bush after a shower of rain in Singapore. I could not bear to part with the pretty fabric. I cut it off. 

I placed it over another plain colour umbrella. You could do this to rescue an umbrella and disguise or replace fabric which has lines of rust or discolouration from being left closed wet. But you need to sew down the top layer to stop it blowing off. 

If you have two layers, that might interfere with the umbrella, closing. Unless you leave it open on the ceiling. Or use it as one of several open umbrellas overhead, to form a shady roof of colourful umbrellas in a garden or restaurant patio or down an shopping alleyway. 

Co-ordinating Clothes & Accessories

For my fun photo I used the umbrella fabric I cut off and placed over another umbrella, co-ordinated with headband with a pompom, and a tunic dress with a matching scarf. 

Brighter Colours

If I want brighter colours, I have a leopard skin pattern dresses with diagonal bands of blue. X. The blue dress is reversible, offering two outfits

Also, amazingly, I have a tunic dress of brown leopard spots interspersed with red flowers.


Budget Buys

You can buy skirts, dresses, jackets, coats, trouser suits (Americans would say pant suits). Soemthing to suit all budgets.  A complete range of prices, the lowest being from the one pound coat second hand from St Luke's. Also, for those on a budget, reversible dresses from ebay, cowgirl hats and headbands from party suppliers. 

Smart & Chic

On the other hands, smart boots, bags and other items costing over one hundred are full price, but also more than forty items on discount spring sales, in May 2025 from John Lewis. Plus 'a la'. outfits from designer brands.

The phrase a l came to my mind, meaning very smart. But what does it mean, where does it come from. It sounds French. AI google search told me

An "a la" outfit refers to clothing styles inspired by a particular place, person, or era. It's a way to emulate a specific fashion aesthetic, often associated with Los Angeles (LA) style, for example, as discussed in the provided search results. 

Los Angeles style means effortless chic.

Blue H & M Dress, dress of the day 393

But I had a white blouse, so I wore this. On the internet and on Facebook you can see lots of videos of how to tie a scarf, but mine is simply hanging, which partly obscures the cleavage.  Cleavage cover I had a choice. To insert a dickey or false front, also called a removable or detachable collar. I have one or two which are plain white.  The alternative which saves hunting for a matching dickey without distracting collar colours and embrodiery, is simply to add a fastening. I decided that a snap or press stud fastener in small size is qhich to fasten and unlikely to pull apart (as opposed to hook and eye. Survival Clothes and Kits For Holidays, Home & Away post 510

I read in the news today that the French have issued instructions on preparing a survival kit for householders.  Convenient Carry Bag Your house should have a bag you can carry, or sling in a car. Your handbag or tote bag or holdall should have a few essentials. When hiking I wear clothes with pockets and have a rucksack with have pockets water, food and sting relief, and insect repallent, and maps and phone numbers. I also put the hospital nubers in my phone. Survival Kit Everybody should have a survival kit by their door, as well as a first aid box in the bathroom and a burns kit in the kitchen. Also clothes! Japanese The Japanese are reputed to keep survival kit by the door. Why? In case of earthquakes. Travellers should have a first aid kit. In their suitcase or bag. And in cars. Plus spare clothes.
