Multi-colour Pearls, Necklace Prices & Wish Lists. Dress of the day 838 by Angela Lansbury.

 Multi-colour pearls

Very classy. Different. The wearer said she could not remember where they came from.

Pearls, and mock pearls, can be the classic white, dark shiny grey, pale silvery grey, or dark pink.

She was wearing matching single pearl ear-rings. A single one colour pearl. You can also buy ear rings in drop styles with pearls of two contrasting colours.

Years ago, the late nineteen sixties, on a student trip to Japan, I bought a grey pearl bracelet on sale. At that time grey pearls were second class and unwanted by buyers, and cost less.

Forty years later, the grey pearls were prized for being different, exclusive, and cost more.

Then along came triple colours. Instead of boring plain white.

A classic necklace can be all pearls evenly matched in size. Or very slightly different, from the smallest at the clasp, each slightly, imperceptibly different, with the largest hanging down at the centre

Budget Buys In Necklaces
If your heart is set on multicolour spherical bead necklaces, but your budget is small, you can buy a necklace of glass beads for only three pounds from Temu.

Postage
But, depending on your current relationship with the company, and others, you may have to pay postage. Or you might get free postage on your first order. Or from certain sellers within the multi-company supplier system such as Amazon or ebay, depending on the country of origin, and method and time of delivery.

On Ebay I found necklace and bracelet sets. Some faux pearls. Others freshwater pearls.

Why do prices vary from under six pounds, to over twenty? Some have stainless steel clasps. Others silver plated. Others gold plated. Some offer free postage. Some add on the price of postage.

Do you want a choker necklace? A long necklace? Matching ear-rings/ A matching bracelet? Free postage? Real pearls? Freshwater pearls? Round or oval pearls? Glass beads? Cubic zircona spacers in between each pair of beads? Funny yellow smiley faces beads adding interest and saving or adding cost to the seller and buyer?

Wish Lists
Some websites allow you to create wish lists. That way, when it comes to birthdays and Christmas or New Year, and you wonder what others can buy for you, or what you can buy yourself, you can choose one item from the wish list, ask a few people to pay half or more of the cost, or buy the whole item or pay half of it yourself.

An alternative, is to circulate the list like a wedding list, following an order of names f donors, with each person ticking off what they plan to buy, leaving the result a surprise. until the day when you get the gifts.

If the seller does not do wish lists, you can make your own somewhere accessible, such as the back page of your diary, or the weekend before so you can tell the family what to buy for you.
