Blue colour suts me. It maches my eyes. It flatters my complexion.  I bought this dress from St Luke's charity shop in London, England. The style is caftan. Just pull it over your head to et dressed in a hurry. The dress is too long. If I take off the belt, I keep tripping over the hem. Should I turn it up, or cut off the hem and use the leftover piece for a matching belt, hairband, or scarf? Sandals The brand name is Toms. Accessories I chose the co-ordinateng sadals with a shade of blue and contrasting warm pink. Umbrella The umbrella is also blue and pink. It is a child size umbrella. I bought one of thse online by mistake. Then I found it really handy. Small enough to stuff in a large tote bag. Just big enough to protect yourself on a druzzly day. Children's umbrellas are often...

Orange and black Shein dress with orange jacket 377

Orange and black Shein dress worn by Angela Lansbury. Copyright Angela Lansbury. I bought the dress and co-ordinating orange jacket together for my summer holiday. When I was notified of sale items I searched for dress and matching jacket. I really wanted a long dress and elegant matching coat, at under twenty pounds. Most of them were just a bit beyond my budget  I bought a couple of them, not in the colours I wanted of red or pink or orange. The were not in my price or not in my size. So I opted for blue and purple. Then this popped up with a shorter jacket in orange and I was tempted and succumbed. The dress was long for me. So long that I would have tripped up. Luckily I had tried on all my outfits as I packed, and seeing that I needed a belt, I found A wide black belt. I packed a long black ribbon, which I could tie in a bow. But it was more inclined to slip than a proper belt. Even though I did not have time to sew two belt retaining loops, nor alternatively risk slitting the...

A pale blue tunic with a green long-sleeved vest (What is a kurta?) Post and dress of the day 368.

Close up of neckline embroidery. Selfie photo by Angela Lansbury. Copyright. The Blue Tunic Three Piece Set The tunic is a kurta. The style worn in India and the Middle East. Because a kurta a slit up both sides to the waist it is usually worn with a matching or plainer pant (trouser), usually the fabric without the glossy embroidery. A floor length or ankle length skirt uses a lot of fabric. That raises he cost. So I was very pleased wih y bargain. Oddly, the colour is much brighter blue in sunlight. In the evening I looked at the pale blue under elecric light and it seemed rather epis and wishy washy. However, I decided tha because I have blue eyes, alhough it was not royal blue which maches my skin colour, it might prove a success. I was more the pleased with the resul. If I have no worn the trousers at all af...
