At last one came up.  When it arrived I was initially taken aback, that the jacket was so flimsy. The fabric is very thin, lightweight, almost transparent.  Only three quarter length sleeves. Not much protection against evening sea breezes, nor air conditioning, nor mosquitos. Three quarter length sleeves are ideal for young people indoors in the evening after dusk and at night. You can show off bracelets. Shorter sleeves are cooler and in tropical climates. So long as you are indoors away from insects, or sprayed with insect repellent. You might think a shorter sleeve allows more attention for multiple bracelets, Indian style, and rings and painted nails or fake fingernails. At a family party I made a new friend whose outfit I admired She wore a red lace top with a wide sleeve. She could not remember where she bought it. However, I thought the slit sleeve was an interesting idea. It gives your forearm more freedom of movement. But, most importantly, it also looks most attractive. If you slit the sleeve on a garment which you have bought, your item becomes different from everybody else's.  I loved my new friend's top. In summer she wears it without black sleeves underneath  She is wearing the black garment underneath for warmth.
