Otherwise the seller might photograph the item with a ruler or tape measure on top.  Pre-loved Clothes  Pre-loved is the euphemistic, positive or polite way of describing what used to be called second-hand. The White Jacket, with Black Edged Collar 1 The horizontal label under the back of the collar says Saks Fifth Aveue. A second vertical label on the inner right hand side says David Hayes.   The white jacket has a black pinstripe. The collar has a black edging strip. The dame black fabric is used to edge the buttonhole. The Sleeves Instead of cuffs, both sleeves have two parallel lines of black fabric.  The shoulders are padded. Does that date the jacket? The Pockets The two semi-circular pockets are curved and edged in black. In the centre of the semi-circle ia an arch, as if the whole pocket is cut from an oval serving dish. It has one large button. The same design in camel or cofffee brown. A neutral countryside colour. Inconspicuous. Goes with everything. A short sleeved tee shirt for summer. A flock fo birds. All colours. To match black or anything. Brightens up black. With a black skirt, trousers (Americans say pants). Striped Top I had a new top in striped brown, black and white. I decided to go for a neat, natural and neutral look. I matched the top with my black skirt. Short sleeve. Burton menswear. London. Black Skirt Vintage Dorothy Perkins.  It is long, but thin and lightweight, just what you need for summer or a country such as Singapore which is tropical all year.  You can see the red ribbon threaded through the four belt loops for security and decoration. The fabric is pale pink with a pale blue imprint. Memories of Plus Size Comfy Clothes 'Shop'  I used to buy the plus size clothes made by Comfy Clothes who had a sales storage cum shop in Queens park. I thought their garments were expensive. But they were large so they used a lot of fabric. They were carefully designed in co-ordinating colours so you could make matching sets. I particularly liked the short sleeved dressed with sleeveless tunic overdresses  in a slightly darker or lighter shade of the same colour.  They also had fabric bags (without zips, which I had to add). And hats? Their clothes were stacked up flat. Ready to be mailed out. Saves on hangers. Folded carefully, they do not crease, although cotton. Because there is so much fabric, they are bulky to pack.  ...

You can find something for everyone, from army surplus clothes to vintage wedding dresses and designer bags. Some of the high end manufacturers and stores are offering to buy back items which they refurbish, and give you a voucher to buy something new from their stock. I buy a lot from ebay, and occasionally from etsy. I know I could sell on there, but packaging and shipping is too time-consuming, confusing and troublesome. However, HEWI, standing for hardly ever worn it, has two levels of service One  gives you more money and lets you ship things out yourself. The other collects your unwanted items and takes a larger commission. if you need the space, anything is better than nothing. Are you hoping to find free items, buy bargains, or sell cheap or second hand clothes?   Vintage Black and White Principles Blouse The smooth woven label at the neck says Principles and it does not have that nasty sharp edge created by heat sealing. This all in one top is comfortable, pretty and practical. The silky, stretchy black body is size 16, Euro 44 and made in China. The fabric is 86% viscose and 14% polyamide. The shiny white yoke and sleeves are, surprise, surprise, 100% silk. The neck and cuffs have pleated edges. I looked up Principles in Wikipedia and learned that the company started out as Burtons, which became Arcadia. The parent company owned down to earth Dorothy Perkins, smarter yuppy Principles, British Home stores and many more - such as the Debenhams store. Hard times struck. Struck the balance sheet, the shop floor staff - and the customers. The Arcadia brands were sold off by administrators, mainly bought out by Boohoo and Asos, this year, in 2021.
