  The Black Jacket My new black jacket is old, vintage, from label Indigo Moon. But you would have no trouble buying an Indigo Moon jacket or similarly elaborate embellished top, suit, dress or coat nowadays. Ebay found me more than a thousand Indigo items. Jackets abound, in any colour combination you could imagine. Vibrant red, black or blue velour. Tee shirts in pink, purple and green. Also brown and orange embroidered vividly with gold thread and glinting sequins and gleaming tiny tubular beads. Neat and symmetrical, or mosaic and asymmetrical.  If I were still looking for a novelty, I could have bought handbags, or a swimsuit. Beautiful Buttons Five gib beautiful buttons are down the front. Plus an extra spare button inside. In case you lose a button, or want to test its durability. But the label says dry clean only.  I love my Indigo Moon jacket with the elaborate embroidery, curls and swirls, contrasting colours of embroidery against the background. I was not keen on brown, at first. Over the past week I have grown accustomed to it.  I have matched up thin brown silk blouses. They are delicate, too delicate for everyday wear when a thick cotton tee-shirt would be more practical. They would tear easily, or the seams could pull apart, or the fabric alongside the seams. But, back to Indigo Moon. Let's have a look online. Vast Choice Indigo Moon went out of production years ago. The good news is that I found loads of items from Indigo Moon. First, on Ebay. Then Etsy. Also elsewhere. They are gorgeous. Some of them are like my brown jacket in style. Not only the embrodi\ery. The Enamel Buttons Eleven enamel buttons, pink and gold colour, decorate down the front placket, plus two more buttons, one on each of the epaulettes. No buttons on the cuffs. The buttons are not all the same.  Some have four pink enamel sections, Looking carefully, I discovered that the buttons are not all the same. For ease of identification, I am numbering the buttons downwards, with button one at the neck and button seven at the hem. Buttons one, three, five and six are the same. You will notice that some of the other buttons have three pinks sections, one section is left silvery. In the photo you can see I was wearing a dusty pink dress, brand Ann Balon. The dress and matching jacket had lace appliqu é .  The Colours of The Clothes I thought Ann Balon's dusty pink was dull on my complexion, corpse colour so I tried dyeing it with Dylon powder dye from a box. I decided to just do the edges to see if I liked the color. I liked the effect of the contrast color edges. No need to do any more. Besides, the dye made such a mess in the bath, overflowing the plastic bowl, dripping as the clothes hung over the bath on hangers, that I decided not to do any more dyeing. Blue The colour of the awning and sides of this sukkah are blue. Blue is the colour of the magen David (star of David) on the Israeli flag. When I saw it, I thought, oops, I should have worn blue.
