  St Patrick's Day Cardigan March 17th is St Patrick's Day, celebrated worldwide by people from the Republic of Ireland, Eire, and the North of Ireland, and by Irish people and their family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers. Restaurants, hotels and businesses and tourist boards enthusiastically join in, with decorations, dance displays, food and drink coloured green. Customers turn up at pubs in green clothes and accessories.  This is a strange garment. A sleeveless, summer theme,thick cardigan. Suitable for all temperatures? Or none. I hesitated, then bought this item.  Photo selfie taken and edited by Angela Lansbury. A Marks & Spencer garment usually has a practical feature. Sure enough, I found a spare button. Summer Colours The background colour, the predominant colour is whte. White accentuates the colours. The colours are lively. Red, yellow. Blue, green. Brown and white. Summer white.  Pretty Pattern The parasol is an attractive and appropriate summer motif. The eye-catching parasol. Suitable for a beach or cruise, for four-season countries' summers. Or all year in the tropics. The advantage of a cardigan is that you can unbutton it to loosen it when you get warm, and remove effortlessly it without inelegantly struggling and dragging it over your head, which might remove your spectacles and make you elbow diners sitting alongside at lunch or dinner. Anthony Sicary top I wore the coat over a co-ordinating warm black and red knitted top. The brand is one of my two favourites, Anthony Sicari. His clothes have batwing sleeves. Handy for going over blouses. His garments fit you whether you are small or large. The Skirt The skirt is the green part of a suit by Ann Balon. That is my other favourite brand. I bought two suits. Both cost a lot although they were second hand. I was disappointed because the colour had faded and they looked a bit shabby. However, they are warm, co-ordinated top and skirt which saves time. The green colour is not my favourite, which is a warm colour such as bright red, wine red, or pink, or orange. However, green makes a change from black. Isn't that what fashion and clothes are all about. Dress for the occasion. ...
