I managed to order the black boots, just like my wine colour pair, from Wish. I love the fancy flower petal design on the toe. It compensates from and distracts from the rounded toe. A rounded toe is more comfortable. The bootees are flat, but non-slip. Credit Card Problems. A couple of days ago I tried to order from Wish but the system would not take the credit card and I gave up. When I went back and tried again, a couple of days later, the second time I tried filling in the card, I noticed something odd.  Update - I was using the old credit card. The system doesn't tell you what you have done wrong. I had to change the end date and the password.  The new card has an unfamiliar layout. The helpline comes first. So you are tempted to instinctively type that in as the first number required. The number they need is at the bottom of the card. My typing of the credit card details had another hiccup, a small delay. My keyboard could not find the forward slash for the date.  L...

The Dress Renovating the dress Originally the dress was shirred (had parallel lines of thin elastic). But the elastic went. So it became wider and would no longer stay up. I wanted to buy wide satin ribbon.  Meanwhile I sewed on to the top which was above the bustline, two wide matt brown ribbons which I pulled out of a cardboard tote bag from a shop.  The lace top bolero From KRISP The lace bolero hid any gaps or untidiness at the side. The label is KRISP. You can buy a lace sleeve bolero in Black, red, wine red, or pink, with the KRISP label from Amazon. Links under websites below. The laptop thinks I am in the UK even if I am not so I see the prices in pounds sterling. After this photo was taken,I simply sewed onto the dress fastening of two sets of red ribbons to tie in bows. I have twice used cups as a prop.  Denbyware Seville, a brown pattern, heavy dishwasher proof. We had it on our wedding lists. Seconds. Even the seconds are expensive.  Denbyware Cutlery We had knives and forks to match. Expensive. They did fine on carpeted floors. A disaster when falling on a tiled or even lino floor in a kitchen in the UK. A disaster on a marble or even mock wood floor in Singapore. The same would apply to floors in the USA, especially in the hot south with heavy floors, France, Spain and Italy and other hot countries with tiled and marble floors. Oxfam and UK Charity Shops I bought some Denbyware seconds in blue from a UK Oxfam shop. I have to confess that there was a time when I went into the shop three times a day.
