The six point star of David is known as the seal of Solomon to Muslims and the Star of David to Jews. Its origins could be a good luck symbol of six points to trap the devil or the evil eye, the enemy.  You can buy star of David jewellery in many jewellery shops and the shops in Jewish Museums. I bought a colourful star of David necklace with matching ear-rings made by Eva at Changi airport. I thought the necklace in red and green was just right as to wear for both Christmas and Hanukah.  The jumper is label George, which is from Asda. I thought the reindeer design was childish and cheap looking but when I teamed it up with a red skirt, and orange-red velvet  track suit bottom...

 Yesterday, I lost. Today, I won. Yesterday, my online purchase of a posture support garment was not a success. However, today I am all smiles. I love it. I immediately tried it on with my orange broderie anglaise top. The orange of the top offsets the green of the skirt. Wow. What a wonderful combination.  I already liked the orange broderie Anglaise blouse, but - but what? But it was sold as off-the-shoulder, with spaghetti straps. that did not feel or look right. The elastic pulled on the top of my arms.  I wanted to wear it with the sleeves on the shoulder. But then the neck gaps. Should I wear it the way it was supposed to be worn?  I used to wonder why a company would choose a different brand name. Surely, if you buy from Marks & Spencer, or Sainsbury's, or Primark, that label tells you enough. Then I found out why they change brand names.  Some of these companies sell worldwide, although you might find more stores in their home country.  Update July 24 2023 Not only to they have different names for clothes for men, women, and children, sometimes for teens, for classic and modern, for businesslike and for sexy/disco wear, for luxury three piece lined clothes with double stitching and spare buttons for mother of the brides which are dry clean only, and for skimpy, light crop tops you can wash in a machine or wash by hand.   LABELS - and stores which sell them Look inside a garment and you will see a label. This tells you where you bought the garment. If the garment is second hand, the label tells you where the item was originally bought. You can then buy other items to match, or others with the same cut or sizing. You might find shops or online sellers have similar current, or vintage items. Labels are useful. Why are the labels left on? 1 The wearer never thought of removing it. 2 The label is very firmly stitched on. 3 The label is handy to help you buy a matching item. 4 The label is essential if you wish to return the item intact for a refund. 5 The label can be used to hand the garment on a hook, or secure it on a hanger so it does not slip sideways. 6 The wearer is proud of the garment and wishes others to see it. 7 Out of respect to the designer to preserve their identity. 8 To help get a good price when selling it second hand. 9 To identify the item if it is lost stolen or in a heap such as ...
