I needed protection from the sun in Singapore. I swim regularly.  I found what I wanted on websites using the words Muslim and modest swimsuit and two and three piece. This swimsuit came with leg coverings and a head piece. The whole outfit was overwhelming. It made me look like a robot and felt heavy.  However, months later, I eventually realized that I could wear the top half with black bikini bottoms from another swimsuit. I also cut in half a one piece suit. I had cut it in half because it had a back which was too low. The cut off half lower half, worn alone, fitted well enough around the waist.  Skirt Tie Down Ribbons The top piece comes with two black tubular ribbons of the same fabric which are attached inside at waist level. Draw A Cat On A Tee-shirt If you have an old white tee-shirt, you can smarten it up, make it more itneresting, and cover stains, by drawing on it, painting on it, or adding a piece of cloth in another colour. For example, if you have a white tee shirt and a black tee-shirt, you could cut identical size pieces from each and sew onto the other. Result, a white cat on black and a black cat on white. You could make a his and hers outfit, or two for Saturday and Sunday, or mother and daughter, or two for twins or siblings (brothers and sisters).  Cats are very easy to draw. A figure of eight.   My umbrellas often break when I am travelling. I often see discarded umbrellas and pick them up.  Then what do you do with them? I often want to save the fabric, maybe to cover another umbrella whose fabric has got dirty. Re-using Fabric Other people have used the fabric to make a tote bag. You could sew a poncho or hat or raincoat for a doll, or a teddy bear. The Metal Use the wonky umbrella to shelter a picnic. Use the spokes to support plant stems, or as a trellis for climbers (those which are decorative, not for fruit in case you catch your hands on the spikes). Photo Props I use broken umbrellas as photo props. Turn the umbrella so that the broken part is behind your back. If an aquaintance wants to borrow an umbrella from you on a rainy day but you are afraid you will never get it back, you can lend them a broken umbrella for a one way trip from your house to a waiting taxi.
