Dress Of The Day with Angela

I would be seated all night so the skirt was not important, only the top. I would be drinking wine, white, orange, and red wines. So I needed a top which would not get stained. Synthetic fabric. Not white. Preferably patterned. I have several Anthony Sicary outfits, mostly tops, a few with matching skirts, one of two with the matching scarf, and one red jacket. Most have some red or pink. One or two are mostl black or navy. Warm Colour, Warm Fabric  I wanted to wear a different one. And not the dark colours. Something in a warm colour. But not bulk sleeves. Why? Because I was wearing a black woolly cardigan. Why? Because I was going to be sitting in a large hall which was unheated and cold last year. Anthony Sicary top I wore the coat over a co-ordinating warm black and red knitted top. The brand is one of my two favourites, Anthony Sicari. His clothes have batwing sleeves. Handy for going over blouses. His garments fit you whether you are small or large. The Skirt The skirt is the green part of a suit by Ann Balon. That is my other favourite brand. I bought two suits. Both cost a lot although they were second hand. I was disappointed because the colour had faded and they looked a bit shabby. However, they are warm, co-ordinated top and skirt which saves time. The green colour is not my favourite, which is a warm colour such as bright red, wine red, or pink, or orange. However, green makes a change from black. Isn't that what fashion and clothes are all about. Dress for the occasion. ...

A skirt in a bright colour lift the outfit. Warmth of red or orange in the skirt to contrast with and compliment and complement the green. Then I remembered to record the labels. Skirt Orange cotton petticoat with drawstring waist, from Mustafa's 24 hour department store, Singapore.  Another branch is or was in India.  123 Accessories Orange paper parasol. Bought online through ebay from China. Orange covered book, Buddha at Bedtime. Stories with a moral for children. given to me by an Indonesian-American family.
