Only three pounds.  Buttons  \It has only four white shirt buttons down the front. So quick to put on and take off. One spare button.   If you are buying hats and scarves and have a choice, choose white rahter than black or dark colours. If you are deciding what to wear and you are walking or might end up walking, wear white. Especially when the night are dark.  That wasy drivers can see you more easily. More quickly. Safety first. I found that caps and beanie hats kept slipping off. They would get dirty on the floor. I would lose them. I would find them a nuisance and stuff them in a bag or big pocket. Than I would not be able to find them in a hurry. I would go without. I would get cold. I would not be protected by the white colour. I sewed a matching white scarf onto the white hat. A white bonnet proved just right. It framed my face. Kept my ears warm. stopped my hat falling off my head and getting lost. The combination was bigger, easier to find and harder to leave behind and lose.  Black is funeral. The White Hat Cum Scarf =Hood I first added a white beanie hat onto the matching scarf. the purpose was to wear it outdoors and keep my neck warm and ensure I did not lose the scarf which kept slipping off. The Scarf=Hood Then I made a hood from a piece cut off the hem of a burgundy colour mock fur plush dressing gown. The scarf kept sliding off. So I stitched it up. I made a hood section to stay on my head. The red scarf = Hood My red scarf kept sliding off. I wanted it to hang neatly, more level, to stay on my head, and to keep me warm by covering my head and neck.  I sewed it up. Just a running stitch or tacking stitch. In out, in out. Much faster than oversewing.  Reinforcing Tacking Stitch Every now and then, I did a back stitch, so that if the thread split, broke, pulled out, at any point, the sewing would not unravel all the way along. I looked around the room and found the bar stool to sit on. Then I scanned the surroundings for a prop. Would you believe, amongst the cups and saucers was this isolated cup and saucer in just the pattern for the dress.   It isn't that difficult to find a matching prop. You have only so many colours, often already three or four in your outfit.  You can search for shapes: circles, discs, semi-circles, swirls, paisley, stripes, small dots. big discs. You can look for flowers, roses, orchids, schematic simple flowers.  If you have a favourite motif, you will find that or be able to find more. I like palm trees. You can sell me anything which is cheap and covered in palm trees. Failing all else, when seeking a prop or background, you could hunt on the internet and print something . What can you do with an A4 print? Turn it into a book cover.  Load up your photo to make a backdrop in zoom. Use screen capture which is usually a key on your keyboard. You could even photogra...
