Pleats Another feature of the Alternatives blouse, harder to copy, is the small pleats.  Pleat Names I looked up pleats. I wanted to know the names. I had heard of box pleats. And kick pleats at the back hem of skirts. I think these tiny pleats are called knife pleats. Wikihow shows how you sew various pleats. Alternatives label mystery The word Alternatives brings up many websites about alternative clothes, in the singular, and the word label brings up label makers. So I cannot find the manufacturer. I recently discovered that a number like an ISBN for books identifies the manufacturer RN Registered Identification Number (and the specific design),  something required by law in the USA, but you need the washing instruction label which is sometimes cut off of lost. It was XS, extra small, yet is quite big enough, quite large on me.  When I opened the packet, I wasn't sure if I liked the purple fabric, but I liked the turquoise and silver sequins. I was pleased that the sequin pattern was repeated on the back. I think front-only printing often looks cheap, as if the manufacturer or seller has economized on the quality of the cloth and the effort of lining up the pattern and not wasting fabric.  On the other hand, what is missing from Indigo Moon garments? Pockets. I shall manage. I usually wear a vest or jacket with pockets.  Any other hesitations, buyers's remorse? Also sequins on the back might damage something else. Clothes, such as a jacket or coat or scarf worn on top. What about the chair or car seat when you sit and lean backwards? What about tearing the fabric if you rest on a couch or bed for a nap?  Sometimes I wear an outfit I hate because I am saving another outfit for a special occasion. If I am in a hurry, I select an alternative outfit. Then I think.., but I have lots of lovely outfits. Why not wear the pretty one and feel good all day. If I died tomorrow I would never have had the opportunity to wear the better outfit.  But the good outfit requires matching of colours. the good outfit felt tight. It needed matching underwear. I could not remove the sleeves in a hurry. The driver was calling. I had an appointment for a checkup with the nurse.  Undressing In A Hurry Sometimes an outfit you can remove in a hurry is what you need. It does not flatter you to wear huge sleeves, a looose skirt, a loose top. But it is practical. So I put on the Black and white Anthony Sicari outfit. DESPITE those horrible pleats. I was right.
