Purple Indigo Moon Top - Perfected dress of the day 651 with Erfo Blouse And Marks Leggings by Angela Lansbury

The Purple Top
I ordered this online from ebay. It was XS, extra small, yet is quite big enough, quite large on me.
When I opened the packet, I wasn't sure if I liked the purple fabric, but I liked the turquoise and silver sequins.

I was pleased that the sequin pattern was repeated on the back. I think front-only printing often looks cheap, as if the manufacturer or seller has economized on the quality of the cloth and the effort of lining up the pattern and not wasting fabric.

On the other hand, what is missing from Indigo Moon garments? Pockets. I shall manage. I usually wear a vest or jacket with pockets.

Any other hesitations, buyers's remorse? Also sequins on the back might damage something else. Clothes, such as a jacket or coat or scarf worn on top. What about the chair or car seat when you sit and lean backwards? What about tearing the fabric if you rest on a couch or bed for a nap?

That hasn't stopped me from buying several Indigo Moon items.

Next, what was I wearing underneath. I try to match my underclothes. Something might peep out. You might undress to try on more clothes. When you go to the bathroom, seeing more of the colour of the day makes you feel co-ordinated and happy.

The Green Vest/top From Patra

I discovered a green Patra label top to wear underneath my purple Indigo Moon top.

The Bracelet
Another chance find was from my collection of jewellery. I have tried to sort my jumbled jewellery into types, such as badges, bracelets, ear rings. Some items in boxes are grouped by colour in boxes of the same colour matching the contents, black, red and so on.

My turquoise bracelet has discs which matched the colour of the sequins perfectly. And echoed the circular shape of the sequins.

The Blue Skirt
A purple skirt would have been ideal. Next best was the dark blue skirt which is vintage. The skirt is labeled Alice Fabrics Alternative Collection, and I bought it from Comfy Clothes in London which made outsize loose-fitting clothes. The skirt is a pull-on style with wide elastic at the waist. The fabric is light- weight like thin velvet, adding a touch of elegance.
The skirt is thin and the weather is cold. So I have kept warm with layers.
Under the skirt I am wearing black.

Black Shorts
The black shorts are labelled Comfy Clothes by Alice Fabrics. They are pull-on. The wide elastic in the waist is sewn flat with an extra line of stitching horizontally along the middle so the elastic does not curl up inside the fabric slot. Actually, when I look closely I find not just one but two lines of horizontal machine stitching holding the waist elastic firmly in place. If you are ever making clothes, that extra stitching is a feature to consider adding.

Black Tights
The black leggings, or tights, or tight trousers of thin fabric are from Marks & Spencer. They are in stretchy fabric speckled with silver.

The elastic in the waist is very deep, so comfortable. In addition, for perfect fit, the garment has a drawstring of the same fabric across the front only.

The ankles have a wide cuff. What's more, it has two pockets, curved pockets. Same fabric. Marks & Spencer think of everything. At least they did when I bought these.

What about the nail varnish? Black? I don't have black. I have white.

The White Nail Varnish
I like pink and red and orange nail varnish to add warmth and match my lipstick. However, the advantage of white is that it goes with everything, including a white blouse.

The White Blouse
The label is E r f o. It took me several days to decipher the writing. I tried Orfo. Erfie. I wish their creative designer for the label had chosen a font which is easier to recognize. I had thought of going through fonts to identify the name. Eventually I worked it out by process of elimination.

Underneath is the word Jeunesse which is French for youth.

Wearing the blouse underneath shows only the collar and cuffs which add formality to the casual loose cut of the tee-shirt worn on top. I like the crisp triangle of the collar which sits neatly without curling.
The style features include three large horizontal pleats down both sides of the front. The blouse is not just pretty. It is also practical.

The blouse fabric is 100% polyester, so quick to wash and dry. Keeps clean.

The Blouse Buttons
It has eight buttons down the front, one on each cuff, making ten, plus one spare, total  eleven. So they did not economize or stint on the buttons. The buttons are unusual. Flat, matt slightly pearly white, with a black edge and a black groove half way across to the two holes in the centre.
