Google kept finding me South Africa, hotels called South Lodge, loding in the south of the USA.  I did find one South Lodge top on etsy. The top which was cream colour was described as vintage by the seller. But it had no sequins nor embroidery.  I was not tempted to buy. Nor even show you, my dear reader, the picture. Where did I buy this blue top? From which country and which seller? Online?  Or from the second hand clothes sho...

In the photo you can see I was wearing a dusty pink dress, brand Ann Balon. The dress and matching jacket had lace appliqu é .  The Colours of The Clothes I thought Ann Balon's dusty pink was dull on my complexion, corpse colour so I tried dyeing it with Dylon powder dye from a box. I decided to just do the edges to see if I liked the color. I liked the effect of the contrast color edges. No need to do any more. Besides, the dye made such a mess in the bath, overflowing the plastic bowl, dripping as the clothes hung over the bath on hangers, that I decided not to do any more dyeing. Blue The colour of the awning and sides of this sukkah are blue. Blue is the colour of the magen David (star of David) on the Israeli flag. When I saw it, I thought, oops, I should have worn blue.   The ear-rings were created from a set of three satin circles with a ribbon attached. the colours were red, yellow and green. I now realise that you can create effective ear rings from any circle of attractive material. Attach the fabric to your existing ear rings, whether clip on or the hook style, using a narrow matching or contrasting ribbon. You could also make a look like the ones on a mask, or attach the dangling ear-rings to a mask. The DIY fabric ear-rings if not secure might drop off in the dirt if you were out in public. But when you are sitting around at home in a Zoom meeting, they can enhance your appearance when talking or in a photo.

The batwing sleeve and short skirt makes it extra cool for a sultry, sweaty summer, a well-heated winter room, or the tropics.  I was pleasantly surprised that I did not look daft in such a short skirt. What with my age, which I cannot change, my height, which I can only vary with high heeled shoes, and my weight. But now that I have lost a lot of weight I can wear outfits which never fitted or suited me before.  For the photo, to continue the green theme, I picked up a glass with a green lid (saved from aplastic bottle) which is used to keep dust and fies out of my water glass. To echo the orange pattern on the tee-shirt, I added an orange belt, made from tying on a large, orange thin scarf. I shoe orange open toed sandals to complete the orange and green summery look.  For the background I had some green plants, rather than a white wall. Since I hope to use it on several garments, I have added red ribbons to tie it on and I used it as a detachable collar.  The Blue Eyes Often my eyes are a disappointing grey colour. I often wear blue, which seems to improve them, but I thought this was an optical illusion to do with having blue elsewhere in the picture. Then I read an article about blue eyes are colourless like water, lacking the brown pigment, and which are like the blue sea and blue sky and change colour reflecting the surroundings. This is really good news. It means that the blue I wear does get reflected in my eyes which act like a mirror and appear much bluer. In this picture I have the red collar matched by my lipstick.
