Hunting For South Lodge

I cannot find South Lodge. Google kept finding me South Africa, hotels called South Lodge, loding in the south of the USA. 

I did find one South Lodge top on etsy. The top which was cream colour was described as vintage by the seller. But it had no sequins nor embroidery.  I was not tempted to buy. Nor even show you, my dear reader, the picture.

Where did I buy this blue top? From which country and which seller? Online? 

Or from the second hand clothes shops in Singapore? 

Or St Luke's in London?

Keeping Records Of Clothes Purchases

I wish I had kept a diary of all my purchases over the years Just one small notebook. I could have written in. And/or pasted in or stapled receipts. I could have kept cut-off labels (if I ever want to re-sell).

I tried to find more items from this company. Google found one top on Etsy, cream colour, rather plain. 

However, when I searched for 'sequins' on a top I had lots of options.

I realised that my sequinned skirts and tops co-ordinated with other sequinned items.

Black Comfy Clothes Skirt

The Black comfy clohtes skirt has a similar fabric to the blue top. Thick and warm, for British autumn weather. It is more of a daytime skirt, which is why it is not in my first photo. I needed a smart top for being on line. (Although I am often asked to stand up so the viewers can see gestures.)

Indigo Moon's Superb Shiny Sequins

Clothes such as tops and skirts with the label Indigo Moon have sequins. The tops do not have the loose knit nor the shiny satin luxurious look applique to match my South Lodge top. Indigno Moon have additions to sequins. Indigo Moon clothes have the addition of painted flower petals with a sole sequin at the centre. 

The word comfy is the key word here. It was a comfortable skirt for sitting at a desk al day.

Unlike Comfy Clothes, Indigo Moon skirts do not have pockets. Less comfortable, although a more fitted appearance, a sleeker outline.

Yesterday, Sunday, I wore the blue top with a black skirt from Comfy Clothes which specilaised in large sizes and loose fit. They were in Wembley Park in North West London until they went out of business. The balack skirt was practical and warm, and those handy pockets for your hands. To hide hands. Warm hands.

Today, Monday, I grabbed from the hook behind the bathroom door a red skirt. It is by Indigo Moon. See next post.
