Why Add Ear-rings?
Do the ear-rings complement and complete the outfit? Or do they distract?

I thought they completed the outfit perfectly. You have to look in the mirror and keep trying accessories, removing them, replacing them, until you get the effect which makes you feel good and happy and smiling.

Use Your Mirror

The effect when you are seated showing only your shoulders and neckline and cleavage on Zoom or in a head and shoulders portrait is not the same as when you are standing. To see the effect of the selfie, your camera is your own mirror.

Why Add A Necklace?

Does the red and black necklace distract? Maybe. I wore it because with a full length picture the red picked up the red colour of the underskirt and red evening shoes which have glass sparkles. The bulky red necklace also covered the cleavage.

Hope for Fly Away Hair - Moisturizers

My skin has dried out and sagged on my face and my hair has dried and become fly-away. The cure for fly-away hair is conditioner. Ideally, have a shower and wash your hair and add conditioner. If you don't have the time or the energy, just spread some conditioner on the drying ends of your hair.

In a hotel without conditioner, you could use your own hand cream or face cream. If you are in a hotel bedroom. Or carry moisturising hand cream in your handbag. Or use moisturising hand cream in an upmarket ladies toilet in a hotel or restaurant. 

How To Hide - Under Hats

You can also tuck fly away hair into an elastic band or scrunchie as a pony tail at the back. Or hold it in place under a bandanna. Or tuck it into a baseball cap with a neck attachment. Hold it with a hair grip, hair clip, or decorative hair comb.

Or hide it under a hat. You could pin at back and then add the hat. Or put on the hat. Use your forefinger or a comb to sweep or tuck in the stray ends. 

Wigs?

As a last resort, use a wig.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. It tore from the top of the slit, diagonally.  I looked for another slip. The ones I found onlin were twice the price and not in a satiny fabric. I wore it torn. I repaired it several times. What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London. You can buy from their current range online. Of their current range, in January 2024, i like the reversible gilet in wine and pink. Brand clockhouse. Standup collar. Zip. They call the colour purple.
