Fake Flowers
I found these flowers discarded on the large litter bin. Americans use the term, dumpster diving.
The words you want when searching websites for flowers include: artificial, decor, decorative vase, fake, floor standing, marigold, silk, simulation, sunflower, sunshine, umbrella stand, wedding, yellow rose.
Vases and Umbrella Stands
Afterwards comes the question, where do we put the flowers? All our vases were too short. The answer is in an umbrella stand. If you want umbrella stands there are some fabulous designs with umbrellas on them at fabulous prices. After saving the pictures on my Pinterest, under Dress of the Day, I discovered the astronomical prices. I went back to Amazon which, like Ebay, allows you to sort from the lowest price.
Yellow Cap
I have these in several colours. You can easily buy them on the internet from China. Not expensive. You will find the links in my earlier posts.
Red Cotton Saree Petticoat worn as a skirt
I bought these from Mustafa's 24 hour department store in Little India, Singapore. I bought black, red, burgundy and orange. I have now ordered two green ones from the Internet from India at twice the price. My Indian Singaporean friend says you can buy them in Little India at half the price charged by Mustafa's. Just ask for saree petticoat, cotton.
$4.95 in Mustafa's.
Update April 6th 2022
I tried wearing this top again with a more elaborate skirt from Mustafa's. However, if you have a pttern or picture on the top, you need a plain skirt.
Mickey Mouse Tee-Shirt
Obviously from Disney. But they have so many products that I could not find the same one. On closer inspection, I found that the design shows only the ears. On third look, I realised the ears are in yellow, white, and red. So I could use this tee-shirt again with white or red as the theme instead of yellow. If you want a similar design, you can do a search for Mickey Mouse ears.
The reverse is plain burgundy. I do have another plain burgundy tee-shirt.
You can also turn tee shirts back to front (not inside out, back to front) to show the plain colour back. This gives a second colour scheme. Or looks sophisticated and sensible instead of fun and funky.
Maroon or Burgundy
The word for the colour Burgundy is the place where dark red wine is produced. Maroon comes from marron, French for chestnut. So, in theory, Burgundy is a slightly bluish dark red. Whilst Maroon is a slightly more brown dark red. People tend to use the two names interchangeably. If you wanted to specify an exact colour, you could go to the numbering system used to identify colours when printing.
