The black cape blazer is brand Be Jealous. Shein has lots of cape dresses and cape jackets. Mango calls their cape jackets cape blazers although they are in finer fabrics and look much smarter. Blazers are traditionally daytime wear.
Blazers often have rough, woolly fabric of a summer blazer which keeps you covered and warm. Open arms are intriguingly revealing, subtle, just right for the evening.

Gold Colour
The gold colour offsets the gold or blonde hair. Also any gold jewellery or watch, or buttons. 

I automatically fastened the gold collar at the front. It has slipped sideways. To avoid this happening, I think it is better to fasten it at the back.

The one I am wearing is probably not available to my readers. Just as well. Nobody can copy me. You don't have to worry that if we meet we will be wearing the same outfit. You can copy my ideas and adapt the style and colour to your complexion and budget and be bang up to date.

A search for what is currently available shows many from Etsy. Magic search words include beaded collar, removable collar, Egyptian collar.

Quick Change, Day to Evening
A couple of removable collars, in black and gold, can convert my daytime outfit into an evening outfit very quickly.

Removable collars take up little space in a suitcase, especially for a short trip, or on a budget airline. 

Quick Pack In Backpack/Rucksack or Shoulder Bag
You could even put the collar in your handbag or rucksack if you are going from your daytime excursion on holiday into a restaurant without time to return to the hotel for a complete change into evening clothing.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London. You can buy from their current range online. Of their current range, in January 2024, i like the reversible gilet in wine and pink. Brand clockhouse. Standup collar. Zip. They call the colour purple.
