How to wear ear-rings without pierced ears? Story 391. The simple best way to wear ear-rings, no need to pie...



You can buy adapters. My favourites are large clips with a tiny circle of metal. You can hang through this the hook type ear-rings for pierced ears. If the large ones pinch, you can cover them, or buy little see-through silicon pockets. The large clips are my favourites. I look for old fashioned ear rings, vintage, in this style. They are often heavy. Bold styles. However, I had a pair of hollow silver or silver plated ones I bought in San Francisco with a large clip on the back. I wore them for many summers until they got bashed out of shape.

Some clips are smaller. I find these less likely to stay on. Also because they are tiny, more pressure in one place.

Another style is the screw on type. You screw them on until they fit over the lobe.

Lastly, the latest, are magnetic ear rings. I find they come apart.

All in all my favourites are the big clip on type ear rings - especially if you can attach your pierced ear-rings.

If you are in a shop and don't see clip on ear-rings, still ask. They might have clip on ear-rings elsewhere, Or under the counter. Or have adapters which they will fit either for free to make a sale, or for a small charge.

You can buy one set of adapters and half a dozen.
Shein sell them for as little as a dollar for a pair.

Ebay has them silver and gold plated from onifamily.

Etsy has more.
I could not find anything about conversting ear-rings in Wikipedia, nor was it easy to suggest an article? What category? I found the categories jewelry, decorative arts, but no links to these subjects in the page on where to add suggestions.

What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London.
