Who could resist looking at a clothes rail labelled two Euros. I looked at the tops.

Colour Test

I tried the colours against my skin tone on my arms. Pale blue, pink or royal blue? The deep royal blue was the best of three. I regret not buying the other two.

Price - Quick Decision

But I knew I had two dollars. I had just received two dollars in change from the five dollar note which I had given the shop for the three dollar top.

I had not tried on the item. I was in a hurry. I had to meet my husband in Starbucks.

Fabric Weight and Garment Packing

I now regret not buying all three bargain tops. I was a bit worried about the weight and volume of packing for our return journey. But the items were so light that I could have worn all three.

Travelling Wearing Layers

I travelled home wearing what I had worn on the way out, two reversible full length dresses, an orange Craghoppers shirt with one breast pocket and both roll up sleeves with tabs, a sleeveless red canvas zip up front jacket with multiple pockets, and my black cape jacket - and the lightweight butterfly pattern top number one, that is to say my first bargain purchase, for only three Euros (see previous post).

Camisole To Conceal

The navy top is light and cool. You need to wear something concealing underneath.

To match my white half slip (with the white crochet hem), I selected a camisole.

Patra Camisole

The camisole label is Patra. Patra is a company which imports silk.

Heart Pattern

Only after I got the garment home did I discover that the pattern was hearts. I have been hunting for garments with hearts ever since Valentine's day last February 2022. My favourite patterns are hearts, six-point stars, any shape stars and moons, suns, clouds, cats, giraffes, elephants, butterflies, waterfalls, trees, sea scenes and rainbows, gold threads, silver threads.

Matching Colours

The blue did not go with any other blue clothes. But it had gold bands. I could match up the gold.

An alternative contrast was white, bright white. For a match or contrast, you can often use black or white.

White

White contrasts with and offsets darker colours. Black sometimes enhances light colours, and adds sophistication. But black  can look funereal and heavy. White worked well.

Patty Moon Label

The blue top label is Patty Moon. A moon shape curves over the capital M or the word moon, which I presume is a made up surname. Am I over the moon with my nigh light navy top? Yes.

The care label reads cotton 65% .

I searched for Patty Moon and found one garment on ebay.co.uk at two pounds fifty pence sterling.

To show the hearts more distinctly, I am showing you the posterized version using the edit mode on a Samsung mobile phone in June 2022.
