Wine leather. My favourite boots. Soft and supple. Look smart. Better than boring boots. Good roomy wide toe.

My boots - I wear them every day. They cost about twenty five or thirty five pounds in the sale. They were the cheapest of many attractive styles.

From ebay, like mine, says synthetic. Named moccasin. Shown in yellow but only available in three colours. 45 pounds sterling to buy.

I hunted everywhere on the internet with all sorts of word searches without luck. I did a reverse image search.

I found these.

Yellow with green. Side zip. 41.50 pounds sterling, but briefly in Dec 22 2022 reduced to 37.50 with code FUN10, and free postage.

I am 'watching' on the ebay website so they should send me updates on sales or price reductions.

Types of leather

Leather is from animal skin, the thickest and strongest from cows, but also sheepskin, calfskin, pigskin, goatskin, snake, crocodile

Top grain - sanded to remove imperfections, looks great, but not as durable

Bonded leather - bits stuck together

Patent leather

Shiny surface like vanish. In my experience, looks great when new but on shoes liable to crease and finally crack

Genuine leather tells you nothing except that it real leather, nothing about the quality, so it is the most basic and could be from any animal.

Synthetics

Yes, some people don't mind synthetic instead of leather. Some people actually prefer synthetics. A synthetic boot is better for you if you are vegan and want to avoid leather

PU leather

Synthetic, polyurethane

faux leather (faux is French for false)

Genuine pu leather (who are they kidding! It's PU, not genuine leather.)
