Faith asked, 'How do I look?'

Wonderful.

I replied, 'Super. Are they new clothes. What do you call that top, a shawl, or poncho? Who are the suppliers?'

Faith replied,

'It's a poncho! I ordered it online from a place called Lolita Show. They sell Japanese clothes. I got mine from the Sweet Lolita section. It's a Japanese fashion subculture.

Lolita

The Lolita website shows lots of Victorian and style outfits in white and pink and other colours with cascades of ribbons, fancy slleves. Plus accessories such as lace chokers, cuffs, and fans. More in black gothic style. They even have swimsuits, including two pieces, outfits with little skirts, and long sleeves. 

They also sell wigs, short and long hair, in colours such as black, pink, green, vibrant red, ash, blue with blonde, 

The suppliers are in China. Prices are varied. A lace face under ten dollars. Postage?


Melissa Shoes, Sandals, Bags, Etc

The footwear is in American sizes and they have a page which translates these sizes into other countries' sizes such as UK , European, and Brazil. For example, I buy shoes and sandals in size 5 with adjustable closure to make them smaller, size 4 if that is the only size available. 

5 in the UK is equivalent to 7 in the USA, 38 in the EU, (36 Brazil) and 9.1 to  to 9.2  inches and 24 centimetres.

4 in the UK is equivalent to 6 in the USA and 37 in the EU.  (in Brazil 35). 23.5 centimetres. From 9 to nine and a half inches.

If you prefer to try them on and save postage, they have many outlets, such as in Tangs on Scotts, Metro, Takashimaya department store in Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road. Online they are in Lazada and Shopee.

L'zzie

Yes, that is the correct spelling, not a typo. The capital letter ell and an apostrophe then small case double zz.

They are on Facebook. And Instagram.

Dresses at 79 dollars and up for miniskirts and knee length were not cheap. However, they have a system whereby if you buy two full price items (not sale items) you get a free top. They will automatically remind you of this on checkout.

Tops for men and women were from 39 Singapore dollars. They also sell kids clothes, demure.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London. You can buy from their current range online. Of their current range, in January 2024, i like the reversible gilet in wine and pink. Brand clockhouse. Standup collar. Zip. They call the colour purple.
