How To Turn harem trousers into a dress, dress of the day 612

I showed my friend Carolyn how to cut trousers up the inside leg seam to convert them into a skirt, or tube dress. She used my method to convert three pairs of harem trousers which had voluminous legs and a lining, into twelve dresses.

How did she do that? Each leg made one off the shoulder dress. If you wanted both shoulders covered, you added a piece of matching or contrasting colour fabric to go over the other shoulder. If she paid twenty Singapore dollars for each pair of harem trousers, she got 12 outfits, five dollars each. She kept one of each colour for herself, six outfits. She gave the others to friends. Grateful and astonished friends.

The pocket on the trousers can be used to make a cap sleeve, or to make the strap on the other shoulder. The shorter you are, the longer the dress is.

She cut off the waistband which linked the outside with the lining.

Harem pants online, but won't necessarily have lining, are from 5 dollars to ten dollars, and Temu ads offered free shipping. I also liked the look of some from Poshmark. Poshmark, like ebay, is for second hand clothes. you might just decide that harem pants are not annoyingly tight, but what you want in the tropics or hot weather or for office work or working from home.

Harem trousers for sale on Poshmark.

Lots similar to this on ebay from ozxygen, in elephant patterns. If you have a pattern with a horizontal stripe, you have to keep the new garment horizontal and not at an angle off the shoulder. For an off the shoulder non horizontal style dress, I suggest you stick to a plain colour rather than a pattern.

From ebay, shop ozxygen.
