Orange jacket outfit worn by wine judge Yegas Vegas, dress of the day 416, and 417

I saw this vision of delectable orange at the Valpolicella, Italian wine tasting event at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. The outfit was worn by Yegas Vegas.

The Jacket
When I got closer I could see that the bright orange jacket had delicate black motifs. The black accents co-ordinated with her black mesh vest and black handbag. Making an ensemble.

The black motifs included the letters abc and black animals. I think they were outlines of pairs of pigs.
Unfortunately she bought it years ago in  Seville, Spain, not from South Africa where she hails from, so you are unlikely to be able to buy anything identical. However, you can learn from her that orange and black makes a stunning combination.

If we had had time to talk, I might have been able to persuade her to take off the jacket so that I could read the label at the neck, or the washing instructions on the inner side seam. Some manufacturers put the company website at the end of the washing instruction label.

Shein has many black and orange jackets, suits, skirt suits, pant suits. You can also buy and orange jacket and sew on black patches, black ribbons, or wear black brooches.

The Matching Scarf
the orange and black silk scarf is African. Orange and black scarves are easy to find. Try Amazon, or Temu. Tie Rack is another source. 

Ear-Rings
The ear-rings, like long shells, are by Christofle, known to me by their cutlery range in hotel quality thick silver.

The Bag
Her bag is a Celine bag, vintage.

Black Overtop
The aerated black top is Horseriding brand Cilli.

Undertop
Peeping through the holes in the black shirt, is a tee-shirt by Versace in orange.

Shoes
The orange shoes are by Steve Madden.

You might not be able to get the same jacket but you can create your own orange and black combination. For example, I found on Amazon several orange and black outfits reduced after Halloween, with orange backgrounds and patterns of black spiders webs, spiders and other season motifs. I was not keen on spiders nor skulls, which some people don't like, but the webs seemed more like an abstract pattern and universally appealing.

For business, it would be more appropriate to go for the subtler mandarin orange, and a jacket with cuffs and a collar and possibly slightly padded shoulders. Plus, of course a lining to hold it in shape and minimize creases in a soft fabric shell.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. Blue H & M Dress, dress of the day 393

But I had a white blouse, so I wore this. On the internet and on Facebook you can see lots of videos of how to tie a scarf, but mine is simply hanging, which partly obscures the cleavage.  Cleavage cover I had a choice. To insert a dickey or false front, also called a removable or detachable collar. I have one or two which are plain white.  The alternative which saves hunting for a matching dickey without distracting collar colours and embrodiery, is simply to add a fastening. I decided that a snap or press stud fastener in small size is qhich to fasten and unlikely to pull apart (as opposed to hook and eye. Period Pants from Marks & Spencer & More, post 345

Period pants from Savida. Pants, UK. In the USA they would be called underpants. They come in two colours, black or dark blue with a mottled effect. They are triple layer. Could be useful for hiking and travelling. Or when you have a cough.  A pack of three full briefs for fifteen pounds. I then googled period pants and found lots of results.  Marks Marks & Spencer do a pack of three containing three different colours, black, white and pink, for sixteen pounds.  They also do different absorbencies. The options range though light, heavy, and extra heavy. And more styles, such as pantaloon style, like short tight shorts coming half way down your thighs.
