I had been hunting for 'dress and jacket', and 'two piece'. This popped up. 

Handy for summer, although I would have liked a longer sleeve. However, the price was tempting, only seven pounds plus 2.90 second class royal mail, not tracked. I paid on Dec 5 late afternoon and it arrived on the afternoon of Dec 10th. 

Size and Fit
It is large size, so the shoulders and upper arms are big enough. However, it was a bit tight  and therefore reevaling over my tummy - which was showing the effect of too many pre-Christmas parties.

I thought a scarf added might help hide bulges. I tried tying that around the waist.  However, it seemed a distraction. I later removed the scarf for a family fashion show. 

Verdict
My husband did not comment on the cut or fit. He said he liked the colour. Success!

Photo Editing Tips
As in previous photos, I have cut out the kitchen clutter by editing on my Samsung mobile phone, using the lassoo to separate myself from the background. It worked perfectly. I did have a couple of false starts with one of the three versions, where it picked out my head and riht hand side only. But I soon got the lassoo to work well.

Ebay has lots of second hand outfits. If you are not sure about the size and don't want to bid, you can click on watching. After a day or two the seller who has not got bids might offer you and other watchers a lower price.

The alternative is to make an offer if that is allowed. The system has improved. You have to click on pay now, then if the seller accepts your offer, the money goes to them straight away. You don't have to do anything more, just wait for the item to arrive. 

You can buy new on Shein and Temu, huge choice.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. Blue H & M Dress, dress of the day 393

But I had a white blouse, so I wore this. On the internet and on Facebook you can see lots of videos of how to tie a scarf, but mine is simply hanging, which partly obscures the cleavage.  Cleavage cover I had a choice. To insert a dickey or false front, also called a removable or detachable collar. I have one or two which are plain white.  The alternative which saves hunting for a matching dickey without distracting collar colours and embrodiery, is simply to add a fastening. I decided that a snap or press stud fastener in small size is qhich to fasten and unlikely to pull apart (as opposed to hook and eye. Period Pants from Marks & Spencer & More, post 345

Period pants from Savida. Pants, UK. In the USA they would be called underpants. They come in two colours, black or dark blue with a mottled effect. They are triple layer. Could be useful for hiking and travelling. Or when you have a cough.  A pack of three full briefs for fifteen pounds. I then googled period pants and found lots of results.  Marks Marks & Spencer do a pack of three containing three different colours, black, white and pink, for sixteen pounds.  They also do different absorbencies. The options range though light, heavy, and extra heavy. And more styles, such as pantaloon style, like short tight shorts coming half way down your thighs.
